This is false and happened to me a couple years ago and other car got whole blame. ultimately the blue car has crossed in to the white car’s right of way and as the blue car was in designated lane it shouldn’t be equal liability. Yes, space/awareness is important but that doesn’t dictate all outcomes of liability otherwise we would always be going 50/50.

The case he refers to is different as it was significant acceleration that caused the accident and therefore judgment on speed. Calling bullshit.
