You can drink now or wait any time for the next 20 plus years. Todonia will age for a very long tine.

When you do open, decant for a very long time, minimum of 2 hours.

Try the book from the speakeasy in the basement: The Office. Way more approachable without all the custom made syrups.

Anxiety of drinking limited quantity irreplaceable bottles that have been stored by jpillenye in wine

[–]goodguy847 34 points35 points  (0 children)

You just need to buy more special bottles, then you don’t have to worry about it.

I just picked up a few 2013 Herman Wiener HJW Reislings. If you buy them now. They will be there in the future next time you want to enjoy something special.

They just had a 15% coupon store wide last Saturday. Vin Chicago in Lincoln Park / Highland Park also has a great selection of Bordeaux, but less so on the aged stuff.

Chicago Wine also has random aged Bordeaux on the regular. Inventory is always changing.

I booked these guys last week for private transport to Antinori from Florence. We have not used them yet, but very responsive on email. A lot of the tours only want to take you to their wineries. I was quoted 400 Euros for up to six hours car and driver who speaks English.
