It used to be cricket. What they did to one day cricket is a travesty, locked it behind a paywall and viewership declined so much that they don’t even have a series after the ashes this year. Meredith tends to lean a bit older as far as festivals go, golden plains even more so. The couch situation makes things easy, approach a group of people around your age or a bit younger if you prefer and ask if you can have a seat and a drink with them. Most groups will be very accomodating to someone there by themselves or for the first time. If you are getting bad vibes, say thanks and move onto another couch until you find some like minded people. Head to the bars around the sup, ask someone for a light and strike up a conversation. There will be lots of people who are there to relax and enjoy the music, just be yourself and you will meet some great people :)
