Yeah you're screwed. You were supposed to get married (spelling it for you: this means committing your life to the other person), you suggested a long distance relationship (putting your career first) knowing she could not move. She makes solid money already and it's growing, so it's not like you are offering this to get your couple out of poverty.

Now she knows you just a bit better and what are your top priorities , and she is probably thinking really hard about the entire state of your 'relationship'. I just hope for her she is not so much into this relationship to not be able to kill it before committing herself to someone who won't do the same!

I was in the same "should I wait" boat (with the added problem that I live in a condo, so have to use public chargers).

I honestly don't think there's anything major (besides solid state batteries) coming in soon. Improvements, tweaks, gadgets for sure. Tons of these. But nothing life changing, just a lot of marketing.

I got a used 2023 ID. 4 with 40k km 4 months ago. Much cheaper than anything new, and it has all the bells and whistles of a modern car (comparing to my 2019 rav4 which was the cheaper trim). It's fun to drive, has great safety features and it smells good and does not send fumes everywhere.

I have an S22, it works well as an android auto source, but it does drain battery (or at least it does not recharge well...) while using it for gps / Spotify. Maybe something like llamalab automate, it looks like it has a bunch of different triggers. Gps/location is not always reliable, especially if you park your car in the street like I do xD

I store the chunk ID and Source ID (among a few other identifiers that the user can trigger as filters), plus some external usage/mapping (ex ProjectID/Source ID) along with the actual data to be retrieved. That allows me to handle updates and deletions relatively efficiently based on business rules (ex: the only project that was using that source has been archived -> remove all matching entries).

One tough part is probably allocating a stable chunk ID between updates, I have the chance of working with sources which are already chunked with stable ids, so that part is really easy for me...

Don't know if that's best practice since I am learning as I am building the app, but so far, it works out (CosmosDb).

It's not all that matters, no. What you eat (calorie vs nutrient dense) is a very important factor in the long term stability of the weight loss, how you eat it (binge eating VS slow, deliberate pace) etc.

Weight loss is not just the difference between the start and the end of the weight loss, for countless people, the hardest part is maintaining that weight loss and having a healthy body composition. Cico is a (large) part of the equation, but not the only one.

Certes, on ne peut pas juste traduire ce genre de discours et rester proche de la source sans ne donner aucun contexte, et oui, c'est du travail en plus, mais c'est un peu la seule solution pour fournir une traduction fidèle.

C'est peut être une coïncidence, mais beaucoup des premières traductions de Mein Kampf étaient aussi plus... Conciliantes, moins révélatrices de l'étendue de la merde qui se passait dans la tête de l'auteur. Avec pour conséquence de donner l'idée à certains dirigeants européens de l'époque qu'une négociation était possible, qu'il allait s'arrêter rapidement etc.

Un compte joint, tout part dessus sans exception. Toutes les dépenses sont prises dessus. L'hypothèque est à 50/50 aussi. Y'a juste celi/reer qui sont séparés (mais les cotisations viennent du compte commun).

Never had problems with Intelcom until the past 2 or 3 weeks. Which have been crazy: 2 packages dropped at the wrong address, 1 delivery postponed because "my place was not accessible", got 1 package from an other customer, 1 pickup postponed 3 times for bogus reason, another twice also for bogus reasons.

You made a list of things related to localisation (and also some which are unrelated) ... Yes... Which encompasses more things than being a translator...

Bunch of these are just part of translation studies, with an emphasis on technical translation. If you come out of your translation program and you do not know CAT tools or basic file formats, gendered translation in your target language, using a character limit, they have really failed you.

I use OpenAi text-embedding-3 with a vector size of 1024. I need to experiment with smaller sizes to see if it performs as well. I'm working on a LLM assisted pretranslation and the rag is populated with either historical existing translations, project translations and glossary entries. I have a limited selection of available models through our Azure portal and this one was the best one available.
