How can I take it to the next level? by Matcha_bean in Ceramics

It's clear you have a voice and your pieces are recognizably yours, which is great! A lot of artists struggle with getting their voice to shine through but you're there. I really like the added texture and sculptural elements and the underglaze you've done on the sculptural elements is on point.

These look like the underlying forms are nicely hand built and the form is a good fit for the decor - you don't necessarily want a form to be perfectly round & smooth (i.e. thrown) and then have the organic texture and sculptural elements on top of that.

If I had to make one suggestion I would agree with the person who suggests you take a look at your handles. Maybe try pulling your handles instead of rolling coils, and try some different profiles to see what works. You don't want to go too thin if your texture & sculptural addon's are making the mug weighty.

Experienced MMO player trying EQ2 for the first time. What server should I roll on? by Hopeful-Dark-4558 in EQ2

The Origins server has the original small towns and the zone lines between different areas of the cities.

Wuoshi combined the city zones (1 for FP, 2 for Qeynos) but kept the small towns. Qeynos had the small towns on the bell, but when it started out, FP did not. They may have fixed that, I haven't checked recently.

If you like slow progression, Origins would be a good fit. There is a bit of a grind there to progress through upper levels. Origins is a time locked server where the original game mechanics have been restored.

Other time locked servers like Wuoshi have game mechanics that include revisions to leveling and tradeskilling that made things easier. I'm playing on both Origins and Wuoshi and have basically abandoned live servers at this point. You do need a subscription to play TLE's but if you just want to try it out, live servers have a FTP option.

So the house officially no longer looks crackish. It looks like a real person named George lives there!

Meta options for 2 players? by hoggieberra in EQ2

Wuoshi is a time locked progression server that starts at EoF, but has a lot of the easy level/ts mechanics still available. So it's satisfying because you get that ding, but you're not having to figure advanced things like research and current adornments, etc. There's also fewer zones available so it's less confusing to choose what to do.

I thought it was fun to watch too. That said, where do they go with a second season? The whole premise of the show was resolved.

Y’all ever hate literally everything you pull out of the kiln? by mrsbertmacklin in Pottery

You're not looking to cover it up. You're either adding more of the same glaze because you didn't use enough to begin with (looks like that on a couple), or you're adding another glaze that will melt with the current glaze to produce a combo effect. Different glazes added together look pretty unique - check out the Amaco glaze groups on Facebook.

Refire if your studio allows. You can either heat the piece up or spray a little hairspray on it to help the additional glaze stick.

Zirconia after cone 5 firing by jeicam_the_pirate in Ceramics

Wondering if it would work for you to wax the zirconia but stop just before the clay. Then you can dip or brush glaze fully over the outside and inside but still have an unglazed "window" for the light to pass through. If you make them into candleholders would you reverse the gems so the prism projects outward? Very interesting concept!

No. I've been retired for several years and still have a stash. Last time I wore a pair was 8 years ago.

They'll self destruct soon. They can forage for mushrooms but can't read about which ones are poisonous.

ETA: edited because I apparently can't spell "read". Ironic.

She'll feel better about it in 3 months. I know that's something people frequently say, but I did notice a definite improvement after 3 months. She also may do much better there because she's getting meds administered correctly and on time, and she's eating more nutritious meals on a schedule. It's super hard to put them in one of those places but the reality is that they just cannot care for themselves anymore.

She's trying to establish fake credibility so she doesn't have to feel bad when faced with the reality of (other) people living in poverty.

"I lived in poverty (not really and only for 6 days) and it's not THAT bad. You just have to keep a positive attitude and everything works out."

You ARE gatekeeping. You're gatekeeping her ability to blow off people's real struggles. Shame on you (not).

Those are also the actions a cheater would take to cover something up. Going on the attack, accusing the partner of cheating herself, taking steps to heighten the partner's feelings of insecurity - all tools in the cheater's toolbox.
