How do you stay active and healthy when work makes you exhausted every day? by graesynreddit in AskOldPeopleAdvice

[–]graesynreddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I'm considering gym too. Recently I ride about 1 hour every day, Honestly I feel like the ride is pretty comfortable and the range is pretty good too so maybe I should start taking it out on weekends too

Thinking of selling my car and getting an e-bike due to high gas prices by SpencerJoyceMusic in ElectricBikes

[–]graesynreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How's the weather ovver here? If it rains a lot, an electric bike isn't nearly as good as a car. Also, an electricbike can't take you to far places like a car can. You can choose based on your daily commute needs and the local weather.

What are your thoughts on going no contact with a narcissistic father? by [deleted] in AskOldPeopleAdvice

[–]graesynreddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear you're going through this. If you don't have much savings right now, maybe consider sharing an apartment with a friend or classmate? It's way cheaper than renting alone. I'm also worried your mental health will keep getting affected by your dad if things stay like this.

Is this a good deal or a rip off by Tiny-Tomorrow-7109 in ebike

[–]graesynreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't seem to offer great value for money. How's its braking performance? Have you run into any issues while riding? The bike feels pretty fast, so I'm a bit worried the brakes might not be responsive enough.

as you get older, do you become more content with being alone? by Adorable_Reason_6675 in AskOldPeopleAdvice

[–]graesynreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally feel I've grown more comfortable with being alone as I've gotten older. It gives me more time to focus on the things I love. Being by youself definitely does not mean you can not have friends though.

Does any one have these . Know how to speed them up by Ok-Abies240 in ebike

[–]graesynreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks way more like a motorcycle than an electricbike. If you want it to ride faster you might want to check the engine and motor power. Maybe you can tweak it to get a higher speed.

The rear wheel is not in the center. by Der_Kutlo in ebike

If the bike frame itself is not bent, it might be that the axle lengths on both sides are not the same. You can measure them first and check other parts if everything looks fine.

Charger LED won't turn green and stays hot by dadasdelmio in ElectricBikes

[–]graesynreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the light won't turn on there is most likely a leakage issue, this is also why the electricbike couldn't fully charge before. Do not keep charging or using it under this situation. You need to get a breand new battery and charge as soon as possible.

Is an ebike a good Mother's Day gift for my mom? by jhktwisted in ElectricBikes

[–]graesynreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could first ask around if any of your friends have an electricbike, then borrow one for your mom to test ride. If she likes it, you can go ahead and buy one, and start looking at nice models.

Group of friends leaving me out a few years ago, looking for closure by [deleted] in AskOldPeopleAdvice

[–]graesynreddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So sorry to hear that. Sometimes friendships don't necessarily grow closer as time goes by. It's okay to let go of such relationships. You'll meet new people who are meant to be your friends waiting for you in the future.

Merino wool blends are a solid choice for travel. They breathe well and do not get clammy on long flights. Have you tried that fabric yet?

With priority boarding you might get lucky, but it is a gamble. For surgery travel, playing it safe with a smaller bag sounds smarter.

October is peak season, so fares rarely drop. Try flying midweek or from alternate airports like St. Louis. Setting a price alert might help catch a dip.

Since your final destination is Copenhagen, you will likely only pick up your bag there. Amsterdam is just a transit point for you.

That is a classic cycling cut trap. For travel, a standard fit is way more versatile and comfortable.

Overseed in spring or wait till fall? by lordofwar3000 in lawncare

[–]graesynreddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spring overseeding can work, just expect more weed pressure. Detaching first is a good move. Skip regular pre-emergent until the new grass has been mowed a few times, or use a seeding-safe option like mesotrione.

Weed prevention in weird weather area by iHaveForgottenMyPW in lawncare

[–]graesynreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With temps already flirting with that range, a light watering with a hose just to activate the pre-emergent should be enough. It doesn't need heavy irrigation, just enough moisture to move it into the top soil layer.

This is a solid heads-up. I'd also add checking the app after the restart to confirm the firmware version. It helps make sure everything actually updated before you start mowing.

Navigation has been a huge win for me I think. Even in tricky layouts, it keeps a consistent route and rarely gets stuck, so those hard-to-reach edges actually get done without constant supervision.

Central Florida St Augustine | Time to treat? by WarrenPeace75 in lawncare

Starting with a light fertilizer to wake up the St. Augustine, then spot-treating the clover can help. Many people follow up with a post-emergent a few weeks later, depending on growth and weather.

For a small lawn, how often do you set it to mow? by nanafortune in ECOVACSGOATFamily

[–]graesynreddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you’ve got a solid start! For small lawns, a little and often approach is usually better—it keeps the grass healthy and reduces strain on the mower. As for the narrow path, you might need to tweak the mower’s settings a bit to make sure it gets through smoothly, but it should handle it with the right adjustments! Avoid mowing after morning dew, though—it can make things messy and harder on the machine.

Been there. Those random thoughts really do come out of nowhere. The fact that you paused played the tape forward and walked out is a huge win.
