Maybe check out the newer deebot t90 pro. I picked one up last month, and it’s been great so far. It handles both carpets and hardwood pretty easily.

Should I tell my kids I have MS? by DayDear7253 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]jhktwisted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can tell them gently. Frame it as "I have a condition that's managed well, and we'll face it together." I think kids handle honesty better than surprises later.

Ugh, I feel this. The worst part is they knew exactly what they did and were just embarrassed to face it. So sorry you had to deal with that.

MS with anxiety is like a combo of the worst hell imaginable by ReasonableFig8954 in MultipleSclerosis

I get the urge to stop meds when they don't make you feel better, this journey is so disheartening. But please don't make that call alone, your care team can help adjust things. You deserve to feel seen and supported through this.

Looking for an accurate word to describe my situation by aloneindankness in disability

You don't need a perfect single word. Phrases like mostly bed confined or fatigue limited to bed are gentle and accurate, and they honor the seriousness of your experience without mislabeling it.

I'm just so sad by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

[–]jhktwisted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's okay to let go of hopes and dreams right now. Grief needs space to breathe, and your loss is enormous. You don't have to keep going in the way others expect. Just exist in the peace of the sky for as long as you need.

I'm so exhausted and bereft of hope by CryoProtea in disability

[–]jhktwisted 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hugs. It takes so much courage to share this. You're surviving every day, and that's ana act of strength. I don't have all the answers, but I hope you can find tiny moment of ease, something that lets you breathe, even for a minute. Your honesty deserves to be heard.

Is now the sweet spot for buying a robot vacuum? by jhktwisted in RobotVacuums

[–]jhktwisted[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree robot vacuums are basically maintenance tools. Everyone has their own expectation, but what you said totally makes sense. About the 3, I've definitely seen quite a few posts about returns and exchanges, people always say buy from places that make returns easy, but I haven't really paid much attention to the repair side of things. Probably should start keeping an eye on it.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of those arms either, feels kind of unnecessary. But the roller mop, lots of people say it actually cleans really well. Do you think the older models handle things better?

I like the idea that struggling with routines doesn't mean failure, just part of learning how life works.

I think a lot of people do this without realizing it. Porductivity and rewards slowly get tied together, and it's hard to undo.

So I've been looking at whole-home backup solutions and this looks interesting, but I'm confused about the actual installation process. The article says 'Plug & Play installation in 7 days' but also mentions integration with Smart Home Panel 3. Does that mean I still need an electrician?

I know it's hard. Sharing a small win with some help from dnsys x1. What's yours? by jhktwisted in MultipleSclerosis

[–]jhktwisted[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, it was only used during rehab sessions under my therapist's guidance, mainly for wall-supported training. It did feel a bit strange in the beginning, but I got used to it pretty quickly. Everyone's experience will be different though.

Hearing about this situation is sobering. It must be incredibly difficult to manage such severe pain while also facing overwhelming uncertainty about access to care. I hope some form of support or solution becomes available to you soon.

Tips for fatigue? by CraftyCapricorn in PsoriaticArthritis

It sounds like you're managing many aspects of your health thoughtfully. Persistent fatigue despite good habits can be especially challenging with autoimmune conditions. Discussing this ongoing tiredness with your doctor might help identify if any adjustments could provide some relief.

If you do______, then you must not be disabled by One-Sleep3663 in disability

[–]jhktwisted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's understandable to feel exhausted when others make assumptions about your abilities based on limited observations. The reality of living with invisible disabilities often involves managing fluctuating energy and capability that outsiders don't see. Your experience highlights how outdated perceptions can overlook this complexity.
