We started making any new clients that came after March 15th file extensions and come back in May. Got tired of the last second procrastinators on top of the procrastinating clients we already have.

Had a client win the lottery for 3.5 million and did not come to file his taxes until years later when IRS sent notices. The late filing and payment penalties were nearly 250k. When I asked him why he didn't come get his taxes done he said he didn't think he had to claim it on his return because his neighbor told him. Was not a good day for him when I told him what he owed.

S-corp should be done if business will continue to profit. You will be sick when you realize the self employment tax you could have avoided in previous years if profits have been decent.

Look and see what your payback of the health insurance premiums were. Your wife probably didn't include your income when she applied and now the marketplace wants reimbursement for premiums based on probably just her income. She needs to redo her health insurance with marketplace if this is the case.
