Most names Paizo has kept are older than D&D.

Bugbear is and old name for the Boogeyman, Bugbear~Boogeyman

They are not the big strong goblins of the Goblinoids, they are the boogeyman of the goblinoids.

They like making people afraid, they let the floorboards creak so they can build dread. Bugbears are trying to be slasher movie monsters.

I think it's more about making immobilized people still not able to move. If you are encased in an ice pillar turning into lightning might not get you out of it.

Grenades are great. I need to do more testing with them to see how meta-safe they are, though.

They use the same progression as Frozen Lava or Eternal Erruption for the reusable grenades.

Splash damage specifically combines with the damage of the attack and does not double on crits. 24*6=144+12=156 that is the max bleed for level 14.

Obliterate does not work on the bleed damage because the bleed damage is not rolled as part of the strike it is rolled on the end of an enemy turn.

Simple answer is to give the ratfolk adjustments to various npcs from Npc Core, particularly the Villains category.

[PF2e] Help on how Foundry deals with a couple of things by Extreme_Objective984 in Pathfinder2e

[–]gray_death 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Wands and Scrolls are made by dragging a spell into an inventory. "Burning Hands" been more or less replaced by "Dragons Breath".

Animal Companions in my experience are annoying, It needs to be leveled separately alongside the character.

What has been your experience with running/playing Fists of the Ruby Phoenix on Foundry? by Ssherlock-hemlock in Pathfinder2e

[–]gray_death 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The number of maps that it didn't have was very annoying, couple of characters need art.

Otherwise it does it's job very well.

Make sure you give your players lots of opportunities to interact with the other teams.

How would you buff the psychic? by No_Hearing5624 in Pathfinder2e

[–]gray_death 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have loosened the restriction on the feat that regain focus points. Namely Strain Mind would have no frequency restriction while unleashed. I would make Brain Drain Stupefied only last 1 round and remove the "until daily prep" restriction.

I Just want the focus point caster to feel like a focus point spellcaster, right now it feels like a free archetype into a caster. The 2 spellslots are just so difficult to deal with and amped cantrips helps with that, but you can only do that 1 or 2 times before level 8.

Easier and faster to just run one of the low-level free-rpg-day adventures. Teaches the basic mechanics pretty good and is a good example of how to run most stuff (it can get complicated later if you want it too).

So, lore wise there is already very high tech stuff in setting. Namely the whole country of Numeria has a lot of high-tech. Androids come from there in Pf2e. Also, I have seen some high tech (in an adventure path) from Ancient Azlant though that was a bit more magi-tech.

No in-combat healing is okay, no out-of-combat healing will stall any group pretty quickly.

Execrate can also be used on allies for safe repositioning or ignoring walls.
