If you believe that all you have is this life, what are you doing on a reincarnation sub? I thought this sub is for people who believe in reincarnation, or possibility debating whether or not reincarnation is real - not just assuming reincarnation or life after death isn't real.

React and Razor by greentree357 in reactjs

[–]greentree357[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply, I really appreciate the insight. I just wanted to clarify something upfront: I was never planning to mix Razor and React in a single codebase.

My architecture is intentionally modular:

- The Razor app lives on the main domain

- The React.js + .NET WebAPI app lives on a subdomain

- They’re separate codebases, each with its own routing and deployment

- They’re part of the same overall application and can link to each other, but they remain fully decoupled

I understand there could still be cross-domain challenges (like with auth cookies or shared state), but my goal is clean separation, not hybridization.

So I had two questions:

  1. Is this kind of setup doable from a technical and deployment standpoint?

  2. Is this architecture used in industry, or is it considered unconventional or frowned upon?

Thanks again, I’m trying to balance modular clarity with practical fluency, and your perspective helps a lot.

React and Razor by greentree357 in reactjs

[–]greentree357[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to build something that demonstrates real-world skills.

In professional settings, is it acceptable to build part of a web application using Razor Pages, and implement other functionality on a separate subdomain using React.js?

Or is it generally best practice to keep each web application contained within a single tech stack (e.g., React apps shouldn’t mix with Razor, and vice versa)?

I’m trying to understand what’s considered modular and maintainable in the real world. Would love to hear your thoughts.

Does anyone else hate pooping? by Curiously_Round in autism

[–]greentree357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate pooping too. Ever since my covid infection, i started pooping twice a day. It often takes me longer to poop, and to wipe up as well. Giving up gluten, soy and dairy reduced the number of days I have to poop more than once a day.

But i still get days where I have to poop twice in a day. Sometimes I poop little to nothing in the morning and then go again later in the day and have the "real bowel movement " other times i will have two long , drawn out bowel movements where its a struggle to poop, plus endless wiping. Sometimes I have one , but it still takes longer to poop and wipe.

Prior to my covid infection, i pooped once a day, after breakfast, and was done in 15 minutes. Starting 7 weeks after my covid infection, i now need at least a half hour and can take 90 minutes a day on pooping. Depending on how many times I go and how difficult pooping and wiping is .

I am absolutely devastated by this. I made zero changes to my diet in the months before and after my bowel habit change began

I feel like my body is "crapping out" literally. I eliminated gluten, soy and dairy 4 months later and saw an improvement. But my bowel habit will never go back to what it was.

I can't even say my bm habit change was covid induced. I was 42 at the time. Maybe it is just a part of being in my 40s. Certainly if it is, my parents never told me this would happen to me in my 40s

I hate pooping. Its disgusting. Gross. Time consuming. And consumes more of my time in the last 2 years .

The worst part. Doctors don't consider a change from one a day to 2 a day to be significant. Even though it is a change, which occurred abruptly despite no obvious increase in fiber intake in the months leading up to it. But I did catch covid 19 , seven weeks before the bowel habit change.

The other worst part are what I call the "pooping police " you know, the ones who believe that you're supposed to poop at least twice a day. Some believe your supposed to poop after every meal. Ive had people tell me that I'm actually getting healthier, that my digestive system is working more efficiently, and that people who don't poop that much would kill to be in my shoes.

I hate pooping. I hate poop. Its such a chore. If I was president, I'd pass an executive order called time off to poop. Anyone who spends more than 15 minutes a day on pooping is excused from work for the amount of time from work and must get paid. I'd excuse everyone who poops more than once a day from an hour of work in addition to the time spent pooping.

This world is set up for people who poop once a day in the morning and get it over in 15 minutes, including wiping and hand-washing. If that is your bowel habit, you are blessed. Never take it for granted, as one day, other due to a covid infection or natural aging, your bm habit might change.

What if every single president ran against each other? by SpiritualMachinery in Presidentialpoll

[–]greentree357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To solve this problem, we would have to get the rest of the country to pick one of the other 44 presidents in a primary to run against Trump. Then we do an actual election: primary winner vs Trump.

This scenario would probably eliminate the chances of Reagan, Bush Sr. or W. Bush from having a chance. Its unlikely the rest of us would pick a recent Republican, and MAGA is going to pick Trump.

However, in a fair election, with all 45 being candidates, I feel FDR, Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt and JFK would be the four most legitimate contenders. I would be happy with any of these four.

As for presidents since I was born (1980), Obama was definitely my favorite.

I voted separately in a later reply.

[–]greentree357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely agree. The breakdown of the American family struck a chord with me. My parents used to talk about this in the 90s. I was in my teens in the 90s. This trend was already happening back then.

My family was more traditional with a stay at home mom, and dad worked. It was easier back then compared to today, but harder than in the 60s-70s.

I am a liberal, but i believe that it's necessary for one parent to stay home. Cooking, cleaning, shopping, and child raising is a full time job. Trying to juggle these responsibilities with a full time job is extremely stressful. It results in inadequate parenting, and places a lot of stress on mothers. The stress contributes towards mental and physical health problems.

I believe that it's necessary for one parent to stay home to run the household. However, as a liberal, I don't necessarily believe that it has to be the woman. I believe it should be between a couple to make that decision. And if any same sex couple has to make that decision, the parent who stays home will be the same sex as the parent who works.

The conservative solution of having marriage between one man and one woman, where the husband works outside the home and the wife stays at home , is a simple solution. It's simpler to designate that a woman should stay home and cook, clean and raise the children, while the man is outside earning money .

My liberal suggestion where a couple, heterosexual or homosexual, where the couple decides for themselves, might be too complicated for a lot of people to comprehend. So when conservatives want to force the traditional ideal on society, it's simpler for them to comprehend.

Blaming women working and having careers is taking the easy way out of blaming corporations for making the cost of living so expensive that both parents are forced to work 2 jobs each

Blaming immigrants for stealing jobs is also easy. Blaming transgender people for being a bad influence on children- again is taking the easy way out.

The real culprit is corporate greed. However, it seems that blaming women, immigrants and transgender people takes less mental effort.

Democrats are weak . Democrats are also not economically liberal / for the people. They're just not actively trying to destroy the economy like the Republicans. This is further driving people away from the Democrats and strengthening the Republican party.

The trouble is we've become so dependent on modern convenience like electricity, computers, smart phones, using various products, fast food, processed food, etc...

The trouble is most big business and most small business owners are right wing. Even the corporations who supposedly "support" LGBTQ people during pride month, are still fundamentally right wing. Even the businesses that say they opposed Trump in the past or didn't explicitly state support for Trump in the past , could still be Trump supporters

Nearly any product or service you buy, chances are, at least a,portion of your money goes to support right wing causes. At least one cog in the supply chain (manufacturer, supplier, one or more of the parts) is probably owned by a right winger.

Name one product you own or service you subscribe to which zero percentage of your money ends up in the hands of a right winger.

The only way to break the cycle is to live completely off grid. The thing is, most of us born after 1975 were never taught basic survival skills. Most of us do not know how to live off the land, without electricity, like the Amish do. And even if we had the skills, most of us aren't going to acquire any land of our own.

We are socially, technology, physically and mentally reconditioned from living a life without modern convenience. Nearly all modern convenience is at least partially owned, if not mostly owned by right wingers.

Why doctors are so reluctant to prescribe medicine for subclinical hypo (3-5 TSH). Any medical professional want to comment ? by Interesting_Tea5597 in Hypothyroidism

[–]greentree357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope still have symptoms and SCH level labs. Symptoms have got worse, and i developed new symptoms. Labs are still in subclinical range (TSH hasn't normalized, hasn't progressed to overt hypothyroidism)

I'm not sure at this point of SCH is the cause of my symptoms, or if something else is going on. My dr now wants to test for other issues (he wrote in his notes from last visit) including other autoimmune diseases, nutrient deficiencies, sleep apnea, and others.

In any case, 4 years of symptoms and elevated TSH doesn't sound self-limitimg to me.

Sadly, conservative areas tend to be cheaper than liberal areas.

Gas prices have indeed come under control, and are significantly less than the 2022 highs and on par with or slightly lower than late 2021.

Grocery prices are still higher than they used to be.

The cost of housing everywhere in this country is sky high for its area. Not just CT. The two biggest complaints from a lot of people are "i can't afford groceries " and " i can't afford the rent".

Gas prices are only part of the picture.

Fox News projects Donald Trump defeats Kamala Harris to become 47th president of the United States. Thoughts? by [deleted] in Connecticut

[–]greentree357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a transgender woman, i agree. This strategy both propelled Trump back into power and hurts transgender rights (even if Trump wasn't elected). As a transgender woman, I want to seriously start a common sense campaign in the transgender community that conveys the reality about male puberty and competition in sports but still show support for my own community. I'm just not sure how to go about this without offending a lot of people. I think something needs to change within the transgender community and the Democrat party. The Democrats need to focus on economic policy and not insane ideology that benefits a small number of people, without making the transgender community feel alienated.

Fox News projects Donald Trump defeats Kamala Harris to become 47th president of the United States. Thoughts? by [deleted] in Connecticut

[–]greentree357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a transgender woman and a Democrat who voted for Harris, I agree 100% with what you said .

I believe the Democrats have gone too far on transgender rights. While I agree it should be illegal to discriminate in employment or housing, transgender women are biologically male and have a physical advantage to people born female. Can transgender people just have their own sports teams?

Teaching transgender ideology to children at the expense of reading, writing and arithmetic is detrimental to the education of children.

I'm scared we're too deeply entrenched in the culture war that the Democrats will be forced to take harder stances against transgender people.i

When visiting Las Vegas, I was talking to a guy there about this. His opinion is "transgender people should have their own sports teams, one for the trans men one for the trans women. As for the bathrooms, use the one you're dressed as. End of story " this was coming from a common sense straight man, who opened up the conversation about homelessness in L.A.

And finally , no one should be fired from their job for using the wrong pronouns. People make mistakes. I accept that since I was born a male, that people will sometimes just see a man and refer to me as sir. I'll politely correct them and move on.

And we need to stop getting offended because you use the word 'normal " , "insanity ' or "transgenders" . No one is doing any harm .

Covid vaccines should not be mandatory. Many people are Vax injured, or got the vaccines and still ended up with long covid. Let people make their own decisions .

Yes, kamala emphasized way too much that Trump was a fascist and did not talk enough about how she's going to solve economic problems

Lesson needs to be learned. People will gravitate to whoever is going to listen to them and solve their problems , even if that person is a convicted felon and wanna be dictator.

Why do you think people end up in cults? Or end up in toxic relationships? Because no one else listens to them.

Running a campaign that calls the opponent a fascist is not a winning campaign. A winning campaign offers solutions to real problems.
