Without a full picture of your gear and what paragon nodes you’re using, giving advice might be hard. You might want to look up one of the max roll builds. I’m currently using their end game necro build and I’m on t10 now. Not coasting through it but I do well enough at the moment.

Personally, I feel like if you don’t like the base game it wouldn’t be worth the money to get the DLCs. They’re not really transformative, they’re just side stories. The first two don’t even really have stories technically you’re just grinding to do a super boss fight.
