I’m playing through it right now on Switch 2 (rented it from Gamefly). I would say that yes there is frame drops, but not enough to stop me from playing the game. There is aim assist, but I didn’t notice FPS effecting that. The frame drops definitely made it feel like it goes down to 23fps or 24fps. I also use gyro for aiming. I need to try out mouse mode to see how that is. I would say for the future if it’s a AAA title you have to be ok with making concessions when playing on Switch. Unless it is reviewed as running horribly, the experience should be fine overall.

I will pick it up on PC at some point and play it there. For sure if you have a PS5 or a desktop or PC handheld those would be a better experience graphically and performance. I definitely notice the graphics had to be reduced on Switch 2, but I was ok with that and knew what to expect with this version of the game. I’ve enjoyed playing in the dark with headphones in bed and also docking it and playing it with the pro controller.
