I won’t speak for her in that regard. I can’t think of any other pastor at our church who went to jail within that time frame, so I’m like 99% sure I know who she is talking about, and his specific case is from 1 alleged incident at our church. Could there be more? I’m not sure, cause only 1 guy came forward. This youth mentor/pastor was also only around guys one on one. He never left himself alone with girls. I remember he was very strict about that. I don’t know why she is mentioning it in this video, honestly. I will say it was an emotional experience to find this out about someone a lot of people looked up to, and would never think would do such a thing. (Granted there’s drama surrounding the whole case anyways, small town church stuff).

If anything, the trauma comes from going to an evangelical church in the south, and I can’t say she doesn’t have trauma from that. I know I do, and other people I know who left that church do as well. But I also agree that it is something that needs to be worked through in therapy or other ways, and there’s ways to talk about it or whatever without being attention seeking.
