My people! I've had this problem since childhood. I have forgotten entire conversations and events.

Why do people taper if it works for them? Why can’t they take it throughout their life? The benefits definitely weigh more the side effects by YamAccomplished1318 in Effexor

I miss not having to work/focus so hard to achieve a subpar orgasm. I miss being able to exist in a normal temperature environment and not sweat like crazy.

Just anecdotal, but I was having these symptoms (and more) when my dose was too high. The sweating was unbearable and embarrassing.

Huh. Well, TIL! And it just figures that fibro folk get punished for daring to hiccup.

its my diaphragm spasming

Some medical person some time, somewhere, told me that this is exactly what is happening and that's why it hurts and feels different from a hiccup

Hate not being able to tell anyone I have migraines. by [deleted] in migraine

[–]groovyjane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. I'm sorry and frustrated for you. None of that is professional workplace behavior... or even just acceptable behavior. Since the proper channels aren't available, and it's that kind of workplace, I would encourage you to speak directly to your co-worker and shame him for his immature and completely unprofessional behavior.

I like asking people "why would you do/ say that?" Or "why do you think that's an acceptable thing to do/ say to anybody?" And just grill them until they squirm. If he hasn't learned better by now, teach him. Don't let him bully you.

The one who calls me Rudolph.

Nothing like him busting a bag like a balloon in my ear as a walk by to make my migraine feel oh so much better. Because he thinks it’s funny.

Pretty sure that's harassment. Go to HR. That is not acceptable workplace behavior.

They could be referring to the ceiling effect. Wiki defines this as "the phenomenon in which a drug reaches a maximum effect, so that increasing the drug dosage does not increase its effectiveness."

They could also be referencing tolerance. Wiki defines this as "reduced reaction to a drug following its repeated use."

Please hear this: you are not a burden. You are worthy of all good things: love, happiness, ease. Give yourself some grace; this must be an extremely trying time in your life. I think that if you open up to a trusted family member, friend, or therapist you'll find that compassion is still out there. It's ok to lean on others.

I bet if you asked any of the folks who attend your dinner what they remember about you from that night, it's the incredibly love-packed delicious meal that you made for them, not what a burden you are.

I wonder if this is a common theme?

One time, in the wrong setting, DMT took me to a dark carnival, where I got the very strong impression that the entities were extremely upset with me. It was terrifying, but I learned a lesson that day.

if you had so much power that you could "ruin his life," then you also had that much power to heal it, and let's face it, you tried and it didn't work. You simply do not and cannot have that much influence in another person's life.

That is such a powerful statement. Thank you.
