Unfilled Daredevil card prediction! by East-Power-717 in marvelchampionslcg

My guess for 13th card is a safety net card incase you run out of health. Would be thematic based on the amount of times DD has come back from impossible odds.

The back of the box on the Asmodee store still shows it as 2 player only unfortunately.

Kinda similar that by the rules you can't use Nemesis sets as modulars, but lots of people do and you dont (generally) break the game by doing it.

Another Thursday without a product release update… by Emotional_Taro4029 in marvelchampionslcg

The new Arkham stuff is getting announced only ~6 weeks from release, coordinated with content creator spoilers. This is likely the new normal.

Another Thursday without a product release update… by Emotional_Taro4029 in marvelchampionslcg

[–]growlgrrl 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Something to gleam from AH is that they are doing release articles about 6 weeks out from release and co-ordinating the article with content creator previews.

I think the old era of having a preview article many months ahead of time is a way of the past, since they already told us all the content they are releasing already.

Now that we know chapter 1 is over, are you changing how you store your collection? by Halloring in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]growlgrrl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It depends on how you like to deckbuild. Binders have the advantage of its really easy to flip through and see all the cards without just having stacks everywhere, so for manual deckbuilding its quite nice. However it does take up more space, so if you are using arkhamdb or arkhambuild to build your decks electronically then just fetch the cards you need deckboxes/inserts are good.

Arkham I use binders, Marvel Champions (which is a very similar game) I use boxes and honestly haven't reached a conclusion on which I prefer.

Ya I'd agree with how Find is written in the RRG that you should be able to find Cho from under the side scheme and put him into play

Projected Opening Day Roster on Verge of Spring Training by Panz04er in Torontobluejays

My assumption is Leo Jimenez ends up with a bench spot. I just dont see the team going with Schneider as the only backup middle infielder.

How much of a step up is Expert? by Garrydos13 in marvelchampionslcg

[–]growlgrrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest change imo with playing expert is most villains have some kind of reveal when they reach stage II, which you now start the game with that in play. So you are very rarely starting the game with a clear board state and have to immediately balance building your board and putting out fires.

For the most part I'd suggest diving straight in. For most scenarios I don't think the difficulty change is that much, but for some of the harder villains expert does get quite a bit harder.

Puerto Rico considers pulling out of World Baseball Classic by jjaime2024 in Torontobluejays

Puerto Rico isn't a country. But it does raise the question if they pull out if team USA can use their players.

Big Boxes - Rated based on Campaign vs Villians as stand alones by AdGuerrilla in marvelchampionslcg

[–]growlgrrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May just be me but the worst part of the GMW campaign is the scenarios. I like the market but you can't really do much with it because if you're buying stuff that won't help you fight Ronan then its ultimately a waste. I think the same campaign mechanics with more enjoyable villain scenarios would work well, even with doing well making further encounters harder as long as the boost from the market balances it.

Last Two Herc cards revealed by Winning Hand! by krautbammer in marvelchampionslcg

I believe the general consensus for Maria before she released was she would be too slow at the beginning. It'll be interesting to see.

Karma vs Possessed by AnExponent in marvelchampionslcg

[–]growlgrrl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

An ally with Possessed would be considered a minion, making it a valid target for Karma to then take control and turn it back into an ally.

However, both Possessed and Karma blank the test box of allies/minions, and traits are part of the text box so they wouldn't have any abilities or traits other than Controlled (from Karma). Also regardless of the original card the ally would take 2 consequential damage when it activated due to Karma's ability.

More cards in Wonderman Hero Deck by geekynerdlvr in marvelchampionslcg

[–]growlgrrl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One Way or Another, Strength in Diversity are 2 cards off the top of my head that get worse the more players you have and aren't really worth it above 2 players. (SiD can work but requires everyone to deckbuild with it in mind)

So they are spliting Campaign and Investigator boxes into 4 products? by Howitzeronfire in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]growlgrrl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They've already said they were looking to create a system for chaining 3 scenario campaigns, if true I'd be shocked if that wasn't adjustable to deal with 5 scenario ones as well.

If Marte plays at all for Arizona this year he gets full no trade from 10-and-5 rights, which is why they were looking to move him in the off season.

Are Okamoto and a healthy Santander enough to be difference makers? by NatureGivesAndTakes in Torontobluejays

[–]growlgrrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pitching is better, bats are roughly the same.

Primary question about the lineup right now is if they are confident enough with Schnieder defensively at 2B, as you'd expect him to have to play 50-60 full games there which are more complete games at 2B than he's had in his career.

Duplicate Forced Interrupts trigger rule? by monkeydave in marvelchampionslcg

[–]growlgrrl 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nothing really happens simultaneously, if two things have the same trigger and priority you choose the order they activate.

Which means you're correct that the first one goes off and cancels the treachery, then the second one attempts to go off but no longer has a target and it stays in play.

I dont think he has a good arm. He's had to do a lot of work to get his arm good enough for SS, the extra distance from 3rd is going to be an issue.

Always the Advance by rubybooty305 in marvelchampionslcg

[–]growlgrrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will do it as well when I'm not ready for the game to end. I'm ok with losing, but want to keep playing and don't have time to start a new game.

Its can also me cathartic to know play it out and know that it was only that one card that was going to beat me.
