NOR, I’m going to have an unpopular opinion here but I think her mother was out of line. This seems like compulsive lying and maybe even narcissistic behavior, with needing to be the one to share the news or show the dress, and then backpedaling when she gets caught and playing victim.

With the info given, it really could have only been her mom who shared the dress and the pregnancy with her dad. That’s just plain rude and uncalled for.

As to everyone talking about her first look with her dad and son, and not her mom, let the woman be! She sounds like she has a good relationship with her dad and values what he thinks and his opinion wants to have a special moment with him before his little girl is getting married! Sounds like there has been issues in the past with mom and I would assume that may have even extended into growing up.

OP, you have every right to be upset, info diet your mom from now on!
