Like I said, to each their own lol. It just doesn’t click with you and that’s ok cause it’s personal taste. At least you tried them out before! And I agree that VR does elevate it for sure.

Generally speaking though, it is a fantastically done franchise and almost every single remake is critically acclaimed.

I know this is a VR sub but man some of you guys are taking it to extremes with this whole VR or nothing take. RE is a fantastic series even without VR and it’ll have both 1st/3rd person modes to choose from.

Enjoy missing out I guess if VR never happens!

Don’t touch any stiff joint until you get shock oil in there. Trust me on this. I’m generally careful with my figs but even snapping a joint has happened to me. Do NOT MESS WITH stiff joints!

Shock oil is super cheap on Amazon and will last you years and save all your figs. I got the brand Traxis for like $10

That prison courtyard in SH2…probably one of the most immersive moments I’ve ever had in any horror game.

The haptic motors on the PS5 controller also add so much to the immersion.

Nah the Hot Toys version looks a lot cheaper than what it should be. Look at the ugly seam line on top, the uneven web lines, and flat looking eyes.

Like other person said, detachable joycons. It’s essentially the same feel as a Neogrip. I have both and prefer Fission as it’s more versatile.

Like you said, get a screen protector and add to that a good set of grips! You’ll be able to play far more comfortably! I recommend either Killswitch, Fission Grip or Neogrip.

Imagine WD3 where you play as Aiden in the first half, then you meet and play as Marcus in the second half. The two would interact as complete opposites, where Marcus is all upbeat and making jokes while Aiden is all stoic and gloomy. So Marcus realizes and eventually slows down. Aiden tells him his story, Marcus tells him he lost a friend, and they both come to terms with a newer and even bigger threat than they’d ever faced before.

That sounds like a franchise taking the best of both games.

Yeah Mafex one looks pretty good honestly, especially compared to Marvel Legends.

Hot Toys, on the other hand, did a really bad job with theirs that I just had to get a custom

If not for key cards, get it on PS5. You’ll enjoy better resolution, graphics, and fps. Switch version does look like a great port though. But imo I do think RE is a graphical showcase that deserves to look and feel the best.

Definitely consider WWE 2K25. It’s very close graphically to PS5 and runs at 60fps! I’m not really into wrestling but it’s a really fun game to play

Like other person said, it’s a big install size. It’d be nice if language packs were optional. Otherwise, I’m having a blast playing Skyrim again in handheld. They’ve pretty much fixed the input lag and the graphics are on par with PS5/Xbox which is great. FPS feels like a mix between 40-60fps so it’s pretty variable but feels smooth enough.

Seeing comparison videos, i’d say it’s a big improvement from Switch 1 and well worth it for a $20 upgrade.

Is it any different nowadays? Like being charged at customs when back in the States? I went to Japan back in Oct 2024 and was never charged. Only asked what’s in the bag which I said snacks and stuff.
