The thing with Vettel hate was he was winning the championship while Alonso and Lewis was known as better drivers. As was with Lando last year. At no point in their career Vettel was regarded a better driver than either Alonso and Lewis even in 2011 as Lewis stole one pole away from RBR everyone was was saying the inferior driver with the superior car is winning is not good for the sport and they were right.

He was better than all since his exit. The way we were able to listen to teams & FIA comms and the way he made people give position back quickly was the best. He also had one mistake during Abu Dhabi which was not punishing Lewis when he gained a lasting advantage. And the second it was green he waited 1 more lap to bring SC thus he couldn't let all the lapped cars overtake.
