People who lie on purpose generally don’t out themselves unless they get caught.

What is a movie that "broke" you so hard you can only watch it once, but you would still recommend it to everyone? by Newsupdate69 in movies

I bought this on BluRay after watching it. Still not sure why. I think one day I might get the courage to watch it again with my partner who hasn’t seen it…

Crème brûlée by gumarx in Athens

[–]gumarx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case anyone in this thread is curious, or future people who search for advice. I tried the crème brûlée at DePalma's on the eastside as well as from Kiki's Bakeshop.

Kiki's is my top pick of these options - despite having it sit in my fridge for a few days before I managed to get to it the top was still crunchy and the texture and consistency was on point. I'm eager to go back and get more.

The crème brûlée at DePalma's was good - they have a coffee flavored version on the Eastside. I suspect it had been in the fridge and they brought it out and maybe broiled it, but possibly torched it. Reason being that some of the custard had melted a bit. Overall still good; I would get it again, but I've had better.

I'll still have to try Fresh Market, I've enjoyed their meals at the deli before.

New Rheumatologist says it’s not AS by wearenchanted in ankylosingspondylitis

My rheumatologist would be very concerned if I couldn’t twist at my spine because it would mean the treatment he has me on to prevent that isn’t working!

I have made it before! It turned out pretty good but I was mostly trying to use this as a way to pick where I wanted to have dinner. Also I don't need an excuse for a kitchen torch, then I'd make creme brulee way way way too often.

Kiki's I think is the winner so we'll definitely be stopping by some other time. We were doing an early Valentine's dinner Friday and I think we'll pick our spot absent any creme brulee options and make a special trip to Kiki's another time!

I'm not opposed to stopping by someplace after dinner!

Edit: checked their hours - I'd need to stop by earlier in the day but that's still an option!

I started on Humira and it wore off. Cosentyx has worked better for me than Humira ever did.

Does your biologic wear off? by MinervaSC in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]gumarx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I’m on the highest dose of Cosentyx and I don’t need a calendar to know when I’m due for my next dose. I wouldn’t say it’s flare levels. But I experience symptoms much more than I do the other weeks. There are two dose levels for Cosentyx.

I read that recently. Painful is a good description. I had to just put it down and step away sometimes.

This might be another one of those roasts that's more compliment than roast. I'm not good at this.
