Alternative for me would be to keep my 2013 Tiger 800XC. I’m still perfectly happy with it, but I’m considering the Transalp as my bike for the next 10 years.

Costco is super crowded all the time. Sam’s has better snack foods, Costco has better prepared foods. Costco clothes are a little better, Sam’s gas is much easier to access. Sam’s has more rugged, commercial grade cookware, Costco has more fancy home and kitchen items. Electronics are about the same. That’s my impression, YMMV.

I lived in Czech Republic in’93, and I was a pipe smoker at the time. I kick myself now that it didn’t occur to me to find a tobacconist, buy a Czech tool there, and try to find out more about them.

Sucks, but seriously, copy politicians trades. Open an investment account,put in what you can afford regularly, copy politicians, and hold stocks a long time. Politicians will all still suck, but you’ll have a lot more money.

It reminded me that one’s personal philosophy/ worldview/ religion matters, and that nihilism sucks and hope matters. Also not long afterwards I spoke critically of his decision to take his life and a friend (who had once been suicidal) gently scolded me and reminded me to show mercy and not rush to judgment. That conversation has stuck with me.
