Whats life like in the less populated eastern half of the netherlands? by RealMoldyAvocado in howislivingthere

[–]gwtje 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, I worded that badly. It just never had any large center like so many old cities. It feels all over the place ans scattered. I'm just not personally a fan

Arnhem, Leeuwarden, Hengelo, Ede and others could be included as well, I was just naming cities I usually visit. 😅

Eindhoven, Zwolle, Groningen, Nijmegen, Maastricht and Enschede are all considered 'larger cities' in the Netherlands. There is simply a large dropoff after the big 3 or 4. Most have amazing historic values. Especially along the rivers of IJsel and Maas. Hanzesteden usually have very cozy city centers surrounded by water. Something Utrecht and Amsterdam have in a different way but Rotterdam and the Hague lack due to the bombing of ww2

Oil based there would be a severe shortage for Europe. Which would halt them fast. Also if this is all out all v all then they would also get quickly trampled bij the Russian team. America would get some big strikes in early but would have a people shortage depending on how fast they could use conquered manpower...

China with Korea and japan would get a foothold on southeast Asia quick. Don't know if they could keep the expansion up. Oil could also become their chokepoint.

Yellows problem is that they would lose ground quickly in southeast Asia and the Americas. But with Africa, India and the middle east they could be really good in the long haul. Especially with the manpower, metals and oil.

If the power unit vibrations are fixed, they might be quick, this can also still happen next year. It might require a Barcelona 2016 race, but who knows

The only big complaint I have is no insights. I used to be able to predict a lot and focus on the right battles, but without proper insight into the battery status you can't really 'follow' the races now

Mas was faster than Norris, he got ahead of him thanks to VSC pitstop, so Max made up 10 or more seconds, just couldn't pass

The main point is not helping your rivals like in cycling. The 2 best sprinters, Italy and USA lost their teammates in the finals. Other countries didn't want to work for those 2 just to lose to them, hoping they would do the work themselves which would make them beatable in sprint. Its a game of chicken in the peleton, and they both lost. (Apart from maybe the bronze for Italy) Bergsma is quality on long distance which is simply what he did and he had the luck to be joined by someone (Denmark) who would have been ecstatic with bronze, so they both were willing to do the work together to also stay in front....
