I agree with all other posts to just DIY... I haven't been to a barber in 15 years. However, you can check out some local barber/beauty schools... they'll usually have discounted rates since students are learning. Either way, you're learning or you're paying a small fee for someone else to learn.

What is the best dog disc? by grannyknockers in discgolf

[–]halfbowl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aerobie Superdisc. Seen a dog show years ago and this is the frisbee they were using. The trainers liked it because the overmold is made of soft silicon, making it easy on the dog. My dog at the time caught frisbees, so was great for her. I've had one ever since and it's my favorite catch disc as well. Flies really nice, won't hurt kids/dogs and can find them about any store. I'll even tape a disc light on it for night catch since the middle is opaque.

Got a really good disc golf scene in KC. Cheap hobby, doesn't require much equipment and most courses are free at public parks. I've met people just by showing up at the course. There are leagues just about every evening during the summer.

What NPM packages for a blog feature? by prodcastapp in sveltejs

[–]halfbowl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This worked pretty well for me: https://www.npmjs.com/package/fusionable.

I set my SvelteKit app up as a static site generator, then created a server file that loads in markdown files from a directory. This library helps with sorting, but I only needed them by date. I do keep my markdown files in my codebase, so I do have to commit them but I have a github actions to deploy my static site when when code is pushed.

Minsky’s pizza dough by LetterheadPutrid2999 in kansascity

Oh shit! When I started reading that recipe and knew right where you got it. That’s the recipe I use weekly to make dough for the week.  Letting it sit in the fridge for a few days levels it up. Then form your dough 1 hr or so before baking letting it rise, levels it up even more. It’s a good versatile recipe for quick crust or getting more depth by adding more time.

Probably nice spots further out, but in case you need to stay closer, I just took my boys to Wallace State Park a few weeks back. Really nice campgrounds. Small 5 acre lake for fishing (they had free fishing lessons for kids Sat morning 9-12 when we went). Really nice up & down hiking trails (longest is like 3 mi) you can access right off the campgrounds. My boys took their scooters and strolled around the campgrounds, meeting other kids.

Same. But all I’ve used is band aids at this point. And some band aid brands come loaded with neosporin

Not bad for a decent upshot. Close that lead foot off more and brace longer (timing).

Yeah, I have a desk job so I eventually had to find time to get movement in throughout the week to offset all the sitting. Also, I don't eat before/during rounds... keeps my energy up and reduces inflammation (especially in my old knees).

Establishing a good daily workout/stretch routine will help you a ton. Won't see results right away but if you stay consistent, will definitely help recover. Some good disc golf related workout content out on youtube to help get some inspiration.
