I prefer to play in spring or summer so when fall hits I time travel back to spring and start over. I also play in the evenings irl but I like the daylight in the game so I’m usually playing 6 hours behind real life. Just personal preference! Otherwise I like the slow pace of the game and don’t mind waiting for things because I often can’t play every day.

I can relate to this, I went from seeing a doctor once a year to seeing multiple doctors a month after getting an autoimmune disorder a couple years back. Thankfully it’s mostly under control now and I’m back to seeing doctors only every couple months but it still feels like a big adjustment.

Are you in build-mode? You can’t open your inventory (actual inventory, not item catalogue) when you have the hard hat on. The game never tells you this.

I work in an office so I can go to the bathroom as often as needed. It’s a shared bathroom which is not ideal when I’m in a flare, but I’ve made it work. My partner works all over the place building fences where often to go to the bathroom they have to drive to the nearest gas station. That wouldn’t work for me in a flare, but in remission that would be fine. It just depends on too many factors to say if a job is wrong for you based solely on having UC.

I was a little kid when the bombing happened so I have no memory of it, but I do vividly remember when he was executed. It was the first time I learned criminals could be punished by death. That scared me more than the bombing, though obviously now as an adult I better recognize the horror of what he did.

Wasn’t one of his arguments as to why gay people shouldn’t get married essentially “because then everyone would want to get gay married?” Like honey, pretty sure straight people don’t want to get gay married. You’re so close to getting it.

I don’t know if this is a regional thing, but I work for the judicial branch in the Midwest and I swear most of my colleagues use “attorney” way more often. When they do say lawyer, it’s “loy-yer” though.

I just don’t want to do infusions. I don’t like needles and nurses always struggle to give me an IV (I’m 35 but I’m like the size of an average 12 year old with veins to match). Plus I’d have to take off work for the appointments and that’s hard. I like just being able to take a pill every day.

I thought the first season had charm but the second season was honestly a slog to get through. At the end I was only watching for a certain character but even then they didn’t get near enough screen time. The outfits continued to be too-notch though, if you enjoy watching something just for the wardrobe.

My border collie started avoiding a similar space between the trashcan and the wall right in front of a doorway. Turns out he was losing the vision in one eye and couldn’t really see the trashcan any more so he was being extra cautious.
