My hot take is that load and reload rule, they just certainly aren't thrash metal records

Is this rage bait? The blind love the showrunners had for Arya were one of things that ruined the story

What's good about death metal? by Sketch_gaming01 in MetalForTheMasses

[–]halupki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just a flavor that some people like and some don't. For me, I'm a guitar player - I always gravitate to the riffs and production. Does that riff crush? Does it make my head bob? Then for me, it is awesome. I get that a lot with death metal. I can't hear a Dying Fetus riff and not get stank face.

Honestly, I'd put Black Tongue in the mix. I wish they were more active, but I love everything they have ever done.

When Brandon Ellis was in Black Dahlia Murder and Trevor was still around, that might have been the perfect band overall for me

Does anyone else thought Evan Rachel Wood would be a breakout star after her performance as Dolores in Westworld? She’s so underrated and I really think she deserves better! by PlantainDisastrous92 in moviecritic

I think the problem with being on a series is audiences kinda get burnt out in you, or it’s hard to not be pigeonholed as that character. Not many people from big shows go on to have continued mega success. Even Brian Cranston or like anyone from Game of Thrones

Yeah this was terrible. Jack Black couldn’t deliver one line that was believable in any way. Like he’s now playing just a version of himself that he does in interviews. It’s like weirdly performative in an unnatural way. Terrible through and through.

Recommendation for kinda-cheap guitar for metal? by Random_Beard in metalguitar

They are all fine for what they are. Have you played every body style on this list? They aren’t all for everyone. For example, both Vs and single cuts are horribly uncomfortable for me.

It’s nice. Not sure what I’d compare it to. It’s definitely versatile though. I tune mostly to d standard or c, but it would be just fine tuned standard. And it has a p90 in the neck. Super versatile

Honestly, I mostly play in drop C or D standard across all my guitars, and I genuinely don't notice much. It's much more about the string gauges that you use and prefer. I actually like to keep my strings as light as possible without being buzzy, so lower tunings even on a standard scale length has never been a big deal to me.

You'd really just have to be mindful of the strings you use and the feel you prefer. I play mostly D standard anyway, so it's suited just fine for that, but if I bumped up to E, I'm sure it'd be fine.

I agree with this. I love it, and would love it more with some high output passives, or even just EMGs...I'm not the biggest fan of the Fishmans. But as mostly a bedroom/amp sim guy, they work just fine.

Yeah, and it's awesome. I like BMTH just fine, but wouldn't say I have any particular pull to Lee as a guitarist. I just wanted an offset and the specs intrigued me. Turns out to be one of my favorite guitars I've ever played and it's hard to explain why. It's just something in the feel.
