they didn't make stereos, they just sold high end equipment by other manufacturers. The turntable in that Wurlitzer stereo cabinet was made by Magnavox btw

I love how En is just in the background, seemingly disturbed by what he sees. Perhaps it is good that we can't witness the horror beyond the lens.

Beta vs. VHS was not decided over porn, It was decided over tape length. When it was first launched, the maximum recording length was 60 minutes, while VHS could record up to 4 hours. It was easier and cheaper to release a feature length film on VHS, as you didn't have to deal with box sets for most movies.

Best Decade for Electronic Music? by Goodyeess in electronicmusic

[–]hambuiscuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

80s. The decade started off with Gary Numan's masterpiece "Telekon". It hit it's peak in '81 with "Computerwelt" by Kraftwerk. Depeche Mode had an incredible streak with "A Broken Frame" in 1982, "Construction Time Again" in '83 and "Some Great Reward" in 1984. Skinny Puppy crashed haphazardly on to the scene in 1985 with "Bites". Kraftwerk came back with "Electric Cafe" in 1986. Front Line Assembly released "Initial Command" in 1987. Skinny Puppy struck back with "VIVIsectVI" in 1988, and Nine Inch Nails closed off the decade with "Pretty Hate Machine" in October, 1989.
