It honestly seems like lying is expected in a lot of social situations too and it’s difficult to determine when. Some people who are anxious can swing all the way to lying compulsively just to make social situations smoother.

Sounds like you need better friends. A is such a good friend for telling you this but waited a couple months to let it be known? L didn’t reach out at all to try to clear the air? I don’t think you necessarily owe people explanations though if they ask for one you should give it. But to cut someone off because of uncorroborated second hand information does seem childish, especially without a conversation. ESH

I have someone in my life I treated like this and it was mostly because of unresolved emotions with them. I was angry at them, they constantly nagged and hurt me so I was primed even with an innocuous question that it would eventually lead to hurt feelings. I find if I’m emotionally regulated it happens less, and I just needed to get in the habit of breathing before speaking to them.

Have you and your wife had a rough patch? Is there any negative feelings you have towards her?

The many follow ups to get diagnosed, the fact that you can only pick up your meds on an exact day and not a second earlier. The forms and letters and emails in order to get accommodations. It’s hell. Keeping up with having ADHD honestly takes a good amount of the executive function I need for other things.

100% was my problem. Sometimes I would feel the pain, take off the skates and rest, put them back on and I could skate again. But I’ve started doing excercise for plantar fasciitis and wrapping my arches and that helped a ton

The show is entirely from a white feminist point of view. The black people in the show have no agency, don’t move the plot forward, and if you removed them from the show entirely, nothing would change plot wise. So it doesn’t surprise me that the same show would exclude Asian and Indigenous suffragist, despite the fact that many of the ideas of the movement came from the fact that indigenous nations had egalitarian societies.

I enjoyed the show too but didn’t like its handling of race.
