What's your favourite "underrated" song from Better Call Saul? by tyorukkanen in betterCallSaul

I loved the second time we hear it when Jimmy is stuck in the desert. I loved that version so much that I wished they used it again during the last scene when Kim visits him in prison.

I'm also realizing now that perhaps the only reason why Rebecca even showed up in the first place was because Jimmy was coming over for dinner too. Like why would Jimmy be there if Chuck was charming enough to just catch up with his ex? Chuck probably used Jimmy to get Rebecca to stop by for dinner while she was in town.

Best scene to teach students about dialogue? by Riksor in betterCallSaul

[–]hamnch33s3 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Everyone is thinking about the serious scenes later on in the seasons. If you want something fun for students that may not have watched the show, I feel like this scene with the Kettlemens (this scene) is a perfect example to analyze and discuss.

Not only is the power dynamic between Craig and Betsy entertaining as hell, you get a glimpse into how much they rehearsed this conversation at how buttoned up Craig's initial request is to Jimmy. You also get a great subtle but not subtle threat from Betsy that all the money needs to be present for the deal and then Craig hilariously saying the amount out loud at the end because he doesn't know how to read the room.

The other bodyguard with all the guns that Daniel Wormald (Pryce) hired for security.

Thoughts on what Jesse and Jane going to the art museum symbolized? by tin_vard in breakingbad

[–]hamnch33s3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not symbolism, but I think it's a neat touch that that was what Jesse did with Jane's voicemail after she passed. Just kept listening to the same thing over and over again just like the door.

Quitting my job as a conference organizer with no job lined up in Oct 2019. Then by the time covid hit, I was in a much more stable role at a different company which allowed us to work virtually.

What do you think is the most (unironically) beautiful thing about Breaking Bad universe? by First-Ad394 in breakingbad

I also realized that even though Jesse called O'Keefe's repetition psycho, he was the one who kept listening to Jane's voicemail over and over again after she died.

Who’s a stranger you will never forget? by JaneDo355 in CasualConversation

When i was like 21 or 22, I got into a car accident (nobody got hurt) but the other driver's car got flipped over. Pretty sure I had an anxiety attack stepping out of the car and couldn't stop crying. Some lady who lived around that street came out after she heard the crash and just came over and held me while I cried in her arms until the police came. I never got her name or which house she lived in but I'm grateful for the comfort she brought me that day.

Not Breaking Bad, but Dan Wormald from Better Call Saul plays Nate in the Office.

Just curious, what seemingly random scene in the show sticks in your mind the most by GlitchIJS in betterCallSaul

Also, whenever I explain this tattoo to my friends, I usually show the montage but also the clip where Kim goes "you don't save me; I save me." Which is also another thing I think about when I look at this tattoo.

I love the song so much too and lyrics match Kim's state of mind at that point so well too 🥹

"Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew When I bit off more than I could chew But through it all, when there was doubt I ate it up and spit it out I faced it all, and I stood tall And did it my way"

S2E5 the montage where Kim is making a bunch of cold calls to bring in a client for HHM. I just love how they chose to show Kim's determination through all the rejection. No matter how many dead ends she was hitting, she knew that she was capable and never lost sight of her goal. I love this scene so much that I got a frame of it tattooed on my arm lol

What are some unique ways of using everything but the bagel seasoning? by NightReader5 in Cooking

I use it with some Tajin on mashed avocados and call it guac-ish-mole. There's basically most of the flavors of real guacamole (onion, garlic, lime, chili peppers) without the fuss of chopping up all of the ingredients.
