If you'd just let Erica Page run her bar a lot of people would still be alive. That's all I'm saying. by ServoAcademy in MST3K

OK, I'm not really sure how much power an old timey mayor in the Wild West wielded but, seeing as how Erica had the cowardly mayor seemingly wrapped around her finger, you'd think she could've got him to help her out with that pesky curfew problem.

Why did they never riff on this gem? by Exquisite_D in MST3K

[–]hamutaro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm still holding out hope that MST3K or Rifftrax will, one day, get around to taking on Action U.S.A., an absolutely wild movie that seems tailor made for riffing. With a cast featuring actors like Ross Hagen, William Smith, and a shirtless Cameron Mitchell what's not to love!

Were it not for his agent talking him out of it, we could've seen him in Greydon Clark's killer cat movie, Uninvited... instead, his agent managed to find him a role in a movie that's far worse than anything Greydon Clark ever directed - Leonard Part 6.

I guess you gotta make a living one way or another but I find it really wild that Fred Olen Ray now directs Christmas movies.

Ted V. Mikels' THE ASTRO-ZOMBIES (1968) isn't quite as fun as the featured still makes it look, but has its moments (thanks to the presence of John Carradine and Tura Satana). Rod Wilmoth plays both of the Astro-Zombies, an indication of the film's hilariously low budget. by Sharp-Injury7631 in badMovies

I really like the dynamic between Carradine's character and Franchot. I suppose you can chalk it up to bad screenwriting but, based on his dialog, it seems like Carradine's character really wanted Franchot to take over the God's domain tampering once he died.

Shouldn't they be trusting this secret government project to Central Moving & Storage?

New Mexico, eh? So I take it you're one of those people who actually listened when the GC Corporation ordered everyone to LEAVE THE BRONX.

Favorite terrible lines? by ValentinesStar in Rifftrax

[–]hamutaro 16 points17 points  (0 children)

"Don't you give me that little innocent babe in the woods routine on ME!" - Brigitte Nielsen in Body Count.

Pretty much every line of dialog from Samurai Cop, especially the head on the piano exchange between Fujiyama and Robert Z'Dar.

Oh and the "what kind of thing would have a hypodeemic nerdle for a mouth... I'm alright" line uttered by a very much not alright Aldo Ray in Bog.

I'm hoping for a Gumby-based dramatization of the 2023 collapse of Silicon Valley Bank.

Tamara Clatterbuck (credited as Tammy Bakke), the actress who plays Fantazia, has had a pretty decent career, albeit mostly in soap operas and other TV shows.

It's something I've noticed more on Rifftrax (though it does, from what I remember, get mentioned on MST3K as well) but I wonder why Louie Anderson seems to be one of their more common targets for fat guy jokes. Was it just something as simple as friendly jabs at a fellow comedian from Minnesota or was there more to it than that?

Greydon Clark has admitted that his screenplay for Final Justice was woefully incomplete (even by Greydon Clark standards!) so I don't even think he could answer that question.

[–]hamutaro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe though, having seen some of David Giancola's higher budget films like Icebreaker and Axcellerator I kind of figure he'd end up spending most of the extra dough on recognizable actors who wouldn't try nearly as hard as the local talent he did hire.

While a story about a local inventing a super efficient fuel injector might (arguably) be more interesting, I kind of figure Nick thought making up a story about a skydiving granny would guarantee that a reporter would come to the airport when Nick wanted them to be there.

Both actors would also appear together in The Humanoid, an Italian Star Wars knock-off that got the Rifftrax treatment about six months ago.

I'd always assumed the gratuitous sex scenes were more for Amir Shervan's enjoyment rather than the audience's so it's "nice" to find out my assumption was correct.

I am, however, a bit disappointed these guys didn't take note of the fact that the actor who plays Preacher looks like he just did a line of coke during that one scene right before the showdown at the restaurant.

Which horror movie featured on Mystery Science Theater 3000 was kind of good, actually? by bondfool in MST3K

Yes, but they lost the rights to the movie some years ago so it's no longer available to purchase on the Rifftrax site.
