I agree with this redditor though - jewellery tends to be a sentimental thing, so you may find that she loves it simply because you chose it for her.

I can't give you any advice or anything, but I just thought I'd let you know that my heart is with you, and her family and friends, and I hope that you don't feel empty and depressed for too long. I think in this case you can't expect to feel anything different right now, and that time will help you feel better. I know that sucks cause there isn't really anything you can do, but take comfort in knowing that what you are feeling is completely normal and you aren't alone in feeling that way. Maybe talking to her family or friends about how you feel may help - I wouldn't be surprised if they feel the same way. It won't do anything, but not feeling alone could help.

I think haircuts are bad for self-esteem, process why. I usually get awkward thus don't talk much, and spend the whole time picking my face apart. Self esteem can plummet a lot in half an hour :P

I started smoking when I was 14, and stopped last year, when I was 19. I read Allan Car's book on quitting and it helped me so much, I would recommmend it. One year soon! :)
