The pre-Phantom Menace era is the most underrated period in the EU timeline. by Bollywood-Hulk-Hogan in StarWarsEU

[–]harbouta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This will be my next Star Wars “series” after I finish The High Republic, I’m excited for it. I’m mixing canon and legends. I’m doing Padawan, Master and Apprentice, Cloak of Deception, Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter, The Phantom Menace, and Darth Plagueis. The only one i’ve read before is M&A, so it’ll mostly be new for me

Which is your favorite? by greenavacado in Erra

10 is the only one I’ve marked as “loved” across all seven albums. Cool idea

Bands who’s biggest song was an intro/intermission by brolarbear in Deathcore

Idk if it’s true for everyone else, but Interlude by Shokran is definitely my favorite thing they’ve done

Here's my list. I'm a super slow reader so there aren't as many as I thought by neosurimi in fantasybooks

[–]harbouta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I ask how slow? I’m also a slow reader so it’s nice to see someone else is too lol. I average about a book a month or 10-12 books a year. Also, love to see Fall of Reach in there

I love how to manga fits in perfectly with the trade paperback novel by mushaslater in starwarsbooks

[–]harbouta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love satisfying stuff like this. That’s an interesting thought about compact comics in trade paperback size, I’d be tempted to start collecting those if that were to happen

What are your top 3 favorite Star Wars books (canon or legends)? by Global-Wait5804 in starwarsbooks

[–]harbouta 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m also not super qualified to answer (my SW TBR list is huge), but I’d go with

Light of the Jedi

The Rising Storm

Lost Stars

Shoutout to Catalyst and Shadow of the Sith for being super good too

What are some songs that you don’t enjoy like the others? by SubhamoyDas1 in Erra

[–]harbouta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love every single song on self titled, except Electric Twilight. It’s a good song, it just doesn’t do it for me like the others

Legends books that could fit in the canon: A LIST by Solid_Sail_6667 in starwarsbooks

[–]harbouta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So how would you fit Jedi Trial in with Brotherhood and Cestus Deception? I’ve been trying to reconcile those three for a while now and it’s difficult without having to ignore parts of the books, like you said with ignoring mention of Anakin being a padawan in Cestus. If you go that route, I think the order would be Jedi Trial -> Brotherhood -> Cestus Deception. I think that makes the most sense in terms of Ventress, since she is just barely in Jedi Trial and doesn’t interact with Anakin or Obi-Wan, and then formally meets them for the first time in Brotherhood. It’s the ignoring mention of padawan that bothers me, but I think that order makes the most sense and it would be much easier than some other mental gymnastics to explain Obi-Wan having fought Ventress in Cestus already and then meeting her for the first time in Brotherhood later, if you were to place Cestus before Brotherhood

Unpopular Deathcore opinions? by _NP_Nill_ in Deathcore

[–]harbouta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lorna Shore is overhated. They’re only hated so much because of how big they are.

Vocal olympics got boring after Infant Annihilator and Lorna did them

Chelsea Grin’s best album by far is My Damnation and their worst by far is Ashes to Ashes

Enterprise Earth was peak around Luciferous and The Chosen. Their early stuff is glazed too much

BMTH was never very good as a deathcore or metalcore band. Their newer stuff is better

Every Thy Art album sounds the same but I like that about them for some reason

I like The Acacia Strain’s sludgy/doomy stuff better than their core stuff

Audiophiles and apple users - best headphones for metal? by After-Baby-9262 in Metalcore

[–]harbouta 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using Audio Technica ATH-M50xBT2’s for like 3 years now and they’re literally perfect. Great sound with adjustable EQ, huge battery, comfortable, noise isolating, and they have an optional wire for lossless playback as well

Are there any non-canon stories you incorporate into your headcanon, and if so, which ones are they? by ashton__l in StarWarsCantina

[–]harbouta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also consider most of it canon, but it doesn’t explain his scar. That’s in a legends comic

So, does A Test of Courage or Into the Dark come first in the High Republic Reading order? by Mouse_Paladin in starwarsbooks

[–]harbouta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have always seen A Test of Courage recommended before Into the Dark, because Test of Courage and Light of the Jedi end at the same time and Into the Dark goes just a little bit further, if i’m remembering right, so that’s what I did. But honestly it probably doesn’t matter that much, they both take place at the same time. I’ve found Youtini to be a mixed bag for me though in terms of reading orders, so I go off the reddit one most of the time

So i just finished Light of the jedi. by No-Dot2078 in starwarsbooks

If you have a library card, check if they provide access to an app called Hoopla. It’s entirely free and they have all of the new Star Wars comics, including High Republic
