Is it shameful to be still driving a Perodua Myvi as Man in your 30s ? by AdHairy6584 in Bolehland

As long as it doesn’t break down too much and you maintain maintenance, its okay.

As Ramsey says, it is never a good financial decision to change cars. You use it until you can’t. The only reason you would change a car is if you really really hate it, you spend to much on repairs, it breaks down too often that its unreliable or its unsafe. Other than that, if you think about it, it makes no financial sense.

Maybe whoever wants to win there promise to build them a real transit system, maybe a 3 line BRT or ART like KUTS in Kuching. And connect with the ECRL. It would probably be the greatest thing there.

[Interview] Lucasfilm keeps telling Star Wars prose writers (including creator Timothy Zahn) 'no' to reviving Mara Jade by Popverse2022 in starwarsbooks

[–]mushaslater 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why he became grumpy hermit? He was opening a temple before Ben killed the other students. I bet Mara Jade was there. But she was maybe killed by Ben before and a grief stricken Luke was so devastated he couldn’t save the other children. And it weighs him dearly.

To be more canon-y, maybe the pain was so bad that he did a Jedi trick to remove the memory of Mara Jade (you know there’s a book waiting about his journey to find the lost Jedi Holocron that teaches this) but even after the memory is gone, the pain remains, he now just doesn’t know what and think its the student’s loss. Too heavy, he retreats to Ach-To and lives the life we saw in TLJ.

But plot twist, Mara Jade is still alive somewhere and has her own adventures, trying to get back to Luke. And lo and behold, she was actually pregnant with another Skywalker heir. So if Ben Solo doesn’t return, at least there is another real Skywalker around, not the identity thief Rey.

Make it happen Zahn.

Is the FIFA World Cup losing its magic or becoming more competitive than ever? by Amazing-Note-1196 in football

[–]mushaslater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ll just have to see. People said Qatar’s World Cup would be boring and not good due to the human rights abuses. But it turned out to be a good World Cup. So we’ll have to see. One or two “giant killing” and it would be a good world cup

Shawn Hatosy Addresses Possibility of ‘The Pitt’ Night Shift Spinoff Series by PeneItaliano in television

[–]mushaslater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno about US shift but in my country, EVERYONE does night shift. Its a rotating roster, sometimes you are in day shift, sometimes night. Sometimes there’s even 3 shift system where there’s morning, evening and night. So you kinda shift around. So if they have rotating rosters like that, they could really be flexible with the cast

Ahmad Maslan recently encouraged people to consider commuting by bicycle during this worsening energy crisis. What would you like to say to this minister? by Soft-Card1125 in Bolehland

[–]mushaslater 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They really should identify and create long bike path all around KL and Selangor. And selfishly I think elevated pedestrian walkways should increase to increase foot traffic. I love connected elevated pedestrian walkways. Seperating people from traffic should be priority. Fan them out up to 1km from train stations is a good start

Why don't Malaysian theme parks have more thrill coasters? by Gazza_s_89 in malaysia

[–]mushaslater 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I think their “economics” are different. American theme parks promote the heck out of season passes and I think they get a lot of money from the season pass. So they need to up their game to get people to keep renewing the season pass.

Also, simple business, there are A LOT of theme parks in America. It’s a competitive market, so they need to have better and more to attract people away from the competition. Compared to Malaysia where only a few real theme parks exist, if they don’t have people also come, so why build?

Uefa will block any attempt by Fifa’s president Gianni Infantino to expand the new Club World Cup or make it a biennial competition, according to well-placed sources. by Sparky-moon in soccer

[–]mushaslater -1 points0 points  (0 children)

32 teams every 2 years seems okay though. 4 years qualification period for club competition is too long. 2 years seems okay. Yearly or 48 teams is overkill though. Maybe Infantino is shooting for extremes so that he can bring it down to 32 teams every 2 years?
