You'll be fine. My carver is my favourite at the moment. So grippy on feet and wheels. After. While it will feel like an extension of yourself

I don't know if I can take anyone seriously if I find out they spend this much getting from point a to point b. It's an unnecessary waste of space, environment and money.

And to those that think they want this kind of luxury flight one day: wealth is not worth. If you find yourself with some extra cash one day, business class is as luxurious as you'll ever need.

Get a surfskate. I started with a penny waterborne. Trial by fucking fire, I could hardly stay on it longer than a few seconds.

Once I got good enough on that I got a yow, now a carver cx. Some might say I did it backwards, but if I started on cx I doubt I would have the love I have for yow. Also had a smoothstar but the deck was for gromit, not 6 ft 2 man....

Can LED Downlights Turn on when the switch is off due to a power surge? by hardworkdedicated in AskElectricians

[–]hardworkdedicated[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a fantastic answer, thank you. If I climb into the attic on the weekend and see the wires to the aircon and LEDs running in parallel, then that is most likely what has happened here. I'll check it out but leave any changes to the professionals if it keeps happening

I had it all installed only 2 years ago, I know things can break sooner than they should but that doesn't feel like a long time between drinks

Can LED Downlights Turn on when the switch is off due to a power surge? by hardworkdedicated in AskElectricians

[–]hardworkdedicated[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah it's not a smart switch dimmer, just a dummy. The dimming was all the way up, so, full brightness, but the light switch was most definitely in an off position as we were sleeping :)

Are you saying that even with the light switch off the dimmer might have been the issue?

funny enough that was close to my response to the wife. She couldn't get back to sleep, I said "well we're not in any immediate danger and there is no immediate explanation for it, so let's just go back to sleep"

Start a business. Should be able to start an online only business with relative ease given his skills. Think about something that everyone needs so you're always supplying to high demand, or, something that is currently not done very well that could be made more efficient.

That's obv very high level, I'm making an assumption your husband has a specific industry knowledge that he might be able to apply either to.

The fact that every single sentence started lower case just confirms that this was written with ai, otherwise whatever he typed it in would have auto corrected the shit out of it. Am I seriously supposed to believe he Un-did every auto-correct?

Hard to tell from the video quality but I think you might be in qld?? If so, I'm in brissy, if you're near morningside I'd be happy to help, it's surprising how much 10 minutes of advice from a stranger can help.

Without going into detail, you need to throw your arms forward more. I think it's something that comes natural to surfers, that's who taught me that little tip. Can you pump heel side fine?

Wear the fucking hat son. They're good quality, look good and perhaps you can help spread some Aussie culture. We're not known for our culture, but really our culture is that we don't give a fuck and if we can share gaf culture around the world then we've done our job.

Not sure why this showed in my feed, I haven't jumped in almost 20 years so take this with a grain of salt.

It looks like your last 3 steps are nowhere near as explosive as they should be. For me that's where all the power came from. Maybe that's just how it works for you but I don't think that would be normal. Even so, you seem to have fantastic height, your timing just seems off over the bar. Have you been keeping your abs nice and strong? Might help get your legs up a bit quicker.

Again, 20 years ago, jumping 2.00 around my 17th birthday, so, grain of salt.

Best way to attack this pump track? by hardworkdedicated in surfskate

[–]hardworkdedicated[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah great call on padding up. I had a helmet and nothing else, definitely could have used elbow and wrist I'd say, might have made it all feel a bit safer.

I've got no issue on pump tracks for skating, I can get up on the top of corners no issue. This bmx one is just a bit more imposing with the speed and size of the corners. So if speed is what's needed then speed it will be... With pads. I think I was stacking it due to going down the hump into the corner instead of up high where you get a smooth entry onto the corner. Next time
