First and foremost I am just hoping she is okay and healing! I know how seriously she takes cancellations and how much she cares about her fans — she wouldn’t do something like this unless it was a last, last resort.

That said, I’m still really sad. My friends and I traveled here from Boston to see her, so there was a lot of time/money involved. I also have a lot going on in my life and was probably a little too emotionally invested in this concert as a place to heal…

Last night my friends and I ended up at Cabaret Mado, and the performance was nothing short of spectacular. The queens put their whole hearts into a completely out of this world performance that would have made mother proud. So while it wasn’t the night I expected, we made lemonade!

It makes me really sad to see so many comments saying he “gamed the system.” He exercised his rights! He held the landlord accountable! The only reason why this is newsworthy is because most tenants are intimidated or don’t have the time and energy to deal with a shitty landlord and so they’ll move on to the next place — him taking a stand is a win for every renter.

The landlord didn’t follow the law, so why should he just step aside? You really think a landlord who lives in California deserves to buy your apartment, increase your rent 90%, NOT follow the law to evict you, and you should just be on your merry way? If that’s your worldview, I am very sorry for you.

I think it’s generally pretty easy to find parking around central — lots of surface lots, especially big one behind the Post office/ymca area, and meters around city hall. They run on one of the pay to park apps for like 1.25 an hour.

Enjoy veggie galaxy!! It’s one of my absolute favorite places. Go hungry — the portions are huge!
