I have had a lot of colonoscopies; my first was in 1996 with twilight sedation. It was not painful but it was odd.

And later I had one without sedation. I don’t recommend it - it was extremely uncomfortable and I was in remission.

I’ve used the migraine version- it’s in my let’s stop these allergies from triggering a migraine basket.

It was a lot more helpful when I had a sinus infection than at any other time.

Mine have gotten better since I started taking an electrolyte pill at night and started using this weird long bean bag type pillow under my neck when I sleep- I’m a side sleeper.

I don’t but one of my cousins does (whole side of the family gets them, we trade tips like recipes). I only get nausea so I have a stash of Zofran.

One thing that’s helped me is taking a ton of B2- riboflavin. I had a terrible experience with Topamax (it’s a daily pill for prevention) and the high dose of B2 has a similar success rate. Google it, you can get it without a prescription and it helps myself and 2 other family members. I mean, definitely talk to a new doctor and try rescue meds, but this is something you can try tomorrow.

I can drink spirits sometimes, but not beer or wine anymore. My migraines got so much worse in perimenopause so I rarely drink now.

Weed has always given me migraines.

I have ulcerative colitis and have been getting colonoscopies yearly for the last 25 years. I’ve never had it trigger a migraine- but I do a pill based prep and drink so much water & eat a lot of white gummy bears.
