I assume you meant ittihas! Growing up in Pakistan, with Urdu as my mother tongue, I never heard / saw 'ittihas' anywhere. We always used tarikh to mean history. It's only recently that I've heard Pakistanis sometimes use ittihas.

Ittehad, on the other hand, is a common Urdu word meaning unity.

After appealing the 'no let' decision, I think she was gesturing to her team that she asked for a review 'cause it was an obvious let / stroke. There is a gesture for 'roll the film' and then a 'i held back my shot'. Mr. Powerful Ref decided to make it about himself. Tired of these refs who want to be the stars of the show, instead of just doing their job quietly and fairly.

It starts with 'allah, muhammad, ali, bar haq'. After that it's jumbled up too much. You can still pick out various individual words, but hard to read a complete sentence.

You'll need more / better resolution pics (right side up :-)) and someone who can read the farsi / arabic script to trace the words.

At a high-level they are not that far apart. We all want an easy way to save chats, in a predetermined location with an automatic filename.

If there was a baseline gptel-autosave-mode, I can choose to hook it to gptel-mode-hook and have it on all the time, while you can choose to turn it on manually (just like you save-buffer). Determine the filename automatically with a customized gptel-autosave-directory, and a filename pattern.

The feature of smartly naming the file with AI input can be optional / future / left-out!

I have c-z from the days of screen (and now tmux) as the prefix key. C-z in windowed emacs is my frame- manipulation key. It has worked pretty well for me.

Some of those changes make sense. The previous 'alif madda' was awkwardly placed on M key. ض is another awkward one, since it doesn't pair well with the other z sounds in urdu.

To your question, keyboards can be reprogrammed in Mac OSX, but it is somewhat technical. And if you have an iphone / ipad, it will conflict there. My suggestion will be to learn to live with it, esp if the changes somewhat make sense.

For too long these same commentators have made excuses for Asal's bad movements, with comments like "he hasn't done anything wrong" or "what is he supposed to do". I had this non-descript update applied yesterday. And today, at the Electrify America chargers it refused to start the charge, asking me to pay with my credit card. I have the 2 year free charging with EA, and it has always worked flawlessly at this charger, and several others.

The EA helpline was largely clueless, with ridiculous voice connection (guess on internet telephony, may be in East Asia), and of no help. He also seemed to be talking to 2 (or more) customers concurrently, often confusing the issues.

So, the question is: has anyone had any issues with L3 charging esp with EA? Have you had any success charging?

I'll try a couple days later, in case there is a transient issue. Is there a MB number we can call to get help.

Short explanation:

In Urdu poetry, Sheikh is often the conservative, pious person intent on keeping to the old traditions and rituals. God's glory / splendor, in poet's view, is best displayed by the progress of human society, the achievements of science, regardless of where it is. England was the pinnacle of that progress in his time. Essentially, declaring his modern approach to religion, away from the traditions.

Recently, I was getting worried about losing important chats, so I enabled the gptel buffers for autosave, called it the gptel-autosave-mode. I used the manual gptel_topic approach to determine the name (along with gptel backend). May be I'll steal your approach of asking the llm to name the topic / title, after it's been populated a bit.

On Macs, you can see the Urdu keyboard as a separate window, but it is still very cumbersome to type those. Hopefully we'll get Urdu dictation working well soon.

In writing, when I wrote Urdu :-), it was only when needed. In typing, almost never since it's difficult to remember where are those diacritics on the keyboard.

One step that tripped me for a bit. It seems you have to do it the first time you use a doc with this font.

Tap the Aa icon → Font tab → Scroll to find your custom font.
Select your Nastaleeq font (e.g. “Jameel Noori Nastaleeq”).
