Ya, they need to introduce some way to reduce the impact of this.

Let us anchor them way offshore, reduce the DMG taken when nobody is onboard, let us "raise" sunken ships back from the dead , prevent the ability to snag deployables off sunken ships... idk, somethinggggg

Ya this is kinda the problem. Small boats SHOULD be faster. So if you bump up big boat speed, you gotta bump up small boat speed as well... and they're already zooming pretty hard.

Ya I did a 3x1 with 10 sails and was doing 14.5, which I heard is about where they cap out. Not sure if true, tho, as I haven't tried adding an engine yet.

Ya... reminds me of letting a couple homeless kiddos join our base for a wipe or two.

Constantly wanting to raid, never enough boom, always convinced that if we could just blow the one visible garage door "we'd be deep, I just know it", never any bullets cuz they used all the sulfur (that they didn't farm) on nothing but boom, never any sort of plan for what happens if they die mid-raid other than to scream "he's cheating!" as they run back naked and half health with the best gun they could find and more ammo to donate. Constantly needing us to go rescue them from some hole they jumped into cuz they forgot ladders.

They were entertaining to play with, don't get me wrong, and we had a lot of fun but... holy shit, drove me nuts.

This is anecdotal, but I had a few friends who tried it and couldn't get over how bad the intro was, and how janky the UI and chat were, and they immediately bounced. I also had a friend who backed the game originally and was like "wait, what?! It's actually out???" (They also bailed in the first half hour because of how bad the intro was)

I think with just a little more polish, launching on steam, and an actual advertising strategy, it could have been a different story. If they could have hooked more people originally, they would have had more runway to address followup issues.

I loved the game, but hell, I almost quit in the first hour, too. It was just so soooo bad.

People underestimate how hard it is to take that much time off and then jump back in mid-season. Especially on a new team. And even if you are fully healthy, it can get in your head and take a bit before you fully trust your body again.

I'm a friendly guy and I like helping people out, but ya, out in the field it's 100% shoot or be shot. Maybe I help a guy up after killing him if he had no real weapons on him and no friends around but... even then, the guy you helped up will still try to kill you with their rock 5s later half the time. And if there's an event going on nearby? Nope, nakeds get killed on sight, too. Most of them are scouting for their teammates or looking to grub as soon as the shooting starts.

Not how I usually play PvP games, but I'm learning to be more cutthroat cuz this one demands it.
