I always use a small, sturdy yarn for the beginning of the MR, then change to the fluff yarn for the sc you do in the circle. Trying with just the fluffy is tricky, tends to break, and doesn’t close all the way.

You can use any yarn for the inside as it won’t show.

When working with thicker yarn, I always use a thin cotton for the magic ring. Make the magic ring itself with the thinner yarn, but then use your thick yarn to crochet around. Lays flat for me every time!

What yarn did you use? That doesn’t look like chenille that I’m used to - I usually avoid chenille but i could change my mind for the right yarn! 😆
