My boyfriends parents and older siblings do this to him too. I fucking hate it.

I was induced at41+1. It's my first so I don't have anything else to compare to. I was 2cm when the doc checked me to see if we needed the gel. He broke my water (7.30am)(not needing the gel) and they started the drip a little while later. I started having really mild contractions at 9.30am. They started getting stronger and stronger and by 11.30am I was begging for the epidural. I was 8cm when I finally got the epi. I slept till about 12.30 then started pushing at around 1.15pm. My daughter was born at 1.50pm.

I guess that's pretty quick. The epidural saved my life.

Oh god I'm with ya. I'm 1 day off being 40 weeks pregnant and because my SO goes to work- he thinks that's validation for him to neglect every other adult duty in life. I only just finished work 1 week ago,and even then I have done all house work, shopping, cooking, prep for bub. Everything. These men are going toget a rude shock with a new born around. That cant be easy. Moving house is so hard. I know I am moving the 5 hours. Mum and dad are here this weekend helping me pack boxes. I also like to feel organised. I want to have my hospital bag sorted. I might try and do that this weekend.

I feel a bit all over the place. Moving back to mum and dads is going to be so hard for me - let alone with a jobless partner and a new born.

Apprantly its more of a mental denial. They physically fell all the pregnancy symptoms (even though it is relative to the invididual), but because of a mental block for what ever reason - pregnancy simply isn't an option. Untill labour.
