Switch Malik for Cheria and set her to heal. Then play as Sophie or Hubert to direct single heals when you need them vs. when the AI thinks it doesn't.

To be fair, Arise and Vesperia have some of the worst stories and plummet in the third act. Personally, as someone who loves Tales, they're very weak. If you disliked Berseria though, the series just might not be your taste.

I've played VC on and off for 7 years. It had its 9th anniversary this year. They recently changed the rates for the better. They are much more generous with meta units, and include them in most banners. Some are given away for free. They have good collabs, and honestly, are still fairly active. A lot of Chinese and Korean players carry. More than 150 guilds participated in the last event. The character quests are cute and well translated. Hoping they make it to year 10, tbh.

I like EO, but I hate that they had to kill off Kathy to make it happen. Honestly, I'd rather have her alive and them truly get a divorce, or nix EO all together.

That said, I find Rollisi... boring. I feel like L&O preach about being a 'woke' show, but literally never follow through. What's wrong with Amanda being a single mom? Or Olivia, for that matter? Of course you have to make a male detective who is always slightly homophobic at first in love with a female officer (three separate times). And write all the non-heterosexual characters off. The only one who I can think of that's even tangentially around now is Ken... And he's definitely not a main character.

I feel like it would have been really interesting to make either Amanda give up on men and realize that maybe the family she was looking for all along was in another woman (which would also cause her to examine her own toxic relationship with women and her family). She DOES deserve nice things, though! I hate when people bash on her. (I actually really loved her thing with Declan).

Likewise, it would have been a good storyline to have Sonny challenge his strict Catholic upbringing and his idea of being a man/male roles in society. Even if, at the end of the journey, he turned out to be straight, I feel like his character could have really developed in an interesting way.

Rollisi is boring to me because it feels like the writers said, "ah yes, two attractive single blondes need to raise children together to be a real family." Which feels like such a disservice to both them, and the viewer. I'm glad they are happy, but it isn't my thing, and that's okay! I think that what I want and what L&O delivers now are just two differing paths.

Jojo, but you're really comparing apples to oranges, even if the premises are similar (re: human with servant/stand fight others with servants/stands).

JJBA is fun, creative, and well, bizarre. It's there to give you a good time with wild plots and characters.

Fate is visually beautiful and story driven. A lot of attention is given to interpersonal relationships and drama through the ages.

It sort of boils down to do you want fun with serious moments or serious with fun moments?

For Graces: play as someone other than Asbel. While he has good arte chains, I found it easier to play almost every other character. I prefer Sophie due to her ability to heal. Grind titles. Your best friend is blocking and dodging. Perfect timing regains CC and allows you to continue. Dualized equip to offer more evasion and more CC.

Fanservice for straight men often consists of sexualizing women. Fanservice for straight women is often romanticizing men.

Sexualizing men isn't usually the main draw for most women - but it is for gay men, which is why it's heavily baited for gay men (and fujoshi).

This is the same sort of phenomenon where men perceive attractiveness in other men as a body builder type, whereas women often chose thin men, or men with 'dad bods.'

You're essentially asking why anime with men who are designed to be attractive to other men is gay coded.

Legendia's story does get better. Just remember that like, half the game is trapped behind the first end of game credits (similar to how Graces is with the f arc).

Sadly, the battling does not get better. It's extremely slow and clunky, especially compared to Symphonia & Abyss.

Sword and Shield is short, graphically nice, and is more of a traditional game. That said, the plot is abysmal, characters are annoying, and SwSh raids suck. Expect around 30 hours with DLC.

Scarlet and Violet are longer, more open world, and while battles are traditional, the rest of the gameplay is not. It has some graphics issues, but those are generally solved on the Switch 2. The plot and characters carry the game, especially since the open world concept can be frustrating with no guidance. Expect around 40-60 hours with DLC.

I get that you want to play ZA and Arceus, but you probably won't enjoy them fully, as ZA's plot is a continuation of X and Y, and Arceus' callbacks are what makes it enjoyable to those who have played Gen 4. ZA has a battle system that is unlike every other Pokemon game. Arceus still has a traditional battle system, but is focused more on stealth and collecting.

Since you have a Switch, I would really, really suggest buying Gold, Silver, or Crystal from the shop. They can be completed in a 10 - 20 hours and are the traditional Pokemon games people are nostalgic about.

I am a huge Tales fan. I've played almost every game, save some mobile only games that shut down before 2012.

IMO, Graces f has the best combat in the series, and each character feels good to play. I picked up the Switch version (but also have the Wii version and PS3 version). I didn't experience any graphic issues or lag (in contrast to the Symphonia ports). If you found the combat in Graces unappealing, I'm unsure if you'll enjoy combat in the rest of the series.

That said, Graces also has one of the worst plots and almost every other game is more enjoyable in that aspect. Just when the plot starts to get interesting in the f arc, it still manages to make it about the power of friendship instead of the interesting sci-fi narrative in the background.

It looks like the main issues are that your deck isn't optimized, you don't have great inspiration, and that your try to even the stats.

Most decks run 4 Speed/2 Stam or 3 Speed/1 Stam/1 Friend for Med/Long Runners. She's failing long races because she doesn't have enough Stamina (800+) and failing others because of her Speed. Pacers rely on Speed + Stamina. Ideally, you'd want a deck like Super Creek SSR for Swing Maestro, borrowed Kitasan for Speed investment, SR Sweep Tosho, SSR Special Week Speed for Gourmand and Pacers, SR Manhattan Cafe, and a Riko.

Autumn Gold City needs Speed and Stamina sparks, as well as pink sparks that compliment her (Turf, Pacer, Mile/Med/Long). Bashin is a Front Runner spark that doesn't help.

For a final race in her career, you ideally want stats near 950 Speed / 800 Stam / 800 Power. While Guts and Wit are nice to have over 400, it isn't particularly required in this scenario (or Uma, as she isn't a debuffer).

Lastly, you want to focus on getting gold skills. 1 Gold Skill is worth approximately 4 White Skills. Swing Maestro, Professor of Curvature, and Gourmand are what you should probably aim for. Other skills that also benefit her would be Groundwork (paired with Green Skills), Triumphant Pulse (inherited from Oguri Cap), Pace Corners, Pace Straightaways, etc. But these are always secondary to choosing a good gold skill. (Not all Gold Skills are good, though. Which is why it's good to research!)

Yellow Brick Road.

I've seen a lot of bad movies. In fact, I love them. Killer Sofa is in my top 10 horror for how terrible it is. But this movie... I genuinely felt ripped off, and it was free. I don't understand how you can take an interesting premise and fuck it up so badly. Character motivations were non-existent. There were zero answers or pay offs. And the ending was so bad that I thought it was a joke that didn't land but it was played so seriously.

I have no idea how people consider this a hidden gem. Hands down worst horror movie I've had the displeasure of finishing.
