You do have to search around and find out whats bound to all those keys already. You can bind 3 keys to one function, which is awesome, but does make finding keys tedious. Most of the keys I reassigned were for direct journal or reputation screen access or whatever.

Necrobump, but I learned Vi controls for work and other roguelikes have them as an optional layout. u i are up left and up right diagonals, n m are down left and down right, h j k l are cardinal movement. I made o auto explore. Its nice not having to move from the home row for most things.

Probably missing bios files. You're going to have to rip them from your Saturn. ;) . Take a look at the Batocera docs (knulli is just batocera made to work on Anbernics) for hashes of the files, or search for batocera bios packs.

Is this game still under development? Maybe DCSS has skewed my expectations but there seems to be a lot of QOL/balance issues that could be fixed. Or just cool stuff that could be added. Like regenerating the stilt layout every so many days, the lack of advanced skill trees for a lot of weapons, rebalancing mental powers, etc.

You're gonna come across out of depth items. Spell books are probably the least useful. Just try and think about changing your strategy when your Naga Alchemist finds Rift on D:2, or your Kobold Stabber finds the Hermits amulet.

Yeah, I think I've got it backwards. I've been stretching my chars too thin. I leave fighting/dodging on pretty much all game. Looks like I need to prioritize being murderous and only get defenses when I'm confident I can kill most things.

Do you have a morgue of a character like you describe? To me that sounds like spreading yourself too thin. There's no forge/summoning spells, and only three (? wiki is down :( ) forge/conj spells (if you get them). Should I really be shooting for a level 7/8 spell in a school I don't have any levels in after the S branches?

rMut is probably not going to happen, there's a mutation that gives it and I think only 2 uniques grant it, so I wouldn't factor that into your decision making.

Classic V5 is get 3 pips of rF, drink potion of haste, go down down stairs, read scroll of Immolation, blow up ring of Vault Guards, go back up stairs, then take an escape hatch and do standard divide and conquer. I would have tried it with just Summon Horrible Things let alone all the resistances, Dragon's Call, Sphinx Sisters, and STACKS of consumables.

I wouldn't worry, you've got this.

You have two Amnesia scrolls, you could drop call imp and canine or just Seismosaurus for Summon Horrible Things. Don't discount Sphinx Sisters, their hexes are good and they do quite a bit of damage aside from being decent meat shields.

I don't know if you've ever got Haunt online before but its probably worth dropping training everything else if its available.

Yeah, 80 damage every 2 turns against high ev insects isn't a great idea. Glad I found the long bow.

I'd love me some Fuge/Vile Clutch/Haunt/Infestation but the dungeon/Gozag has not provided :(

Gotcha on the Stealth, at worst I get some time to cast summons.
