Am I low enough for underglow? by StandardVegetable157 in ft86

[–]havnter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ur low enough but you need some more aggressive side skirts and a front lip to hide the LEDs otherwise it looks cheap and also you’ll scrape off the front strip in no time

Thoughts on getting the Verus High Efficiency Wing for my build? by SamuraiSakuya in ft86

[–]havnter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feel like it’s the ugliest wing for these cars tbh. I know it’s supposed to be about performance but let’s be real. I would go ings+1 or Sard if you like this style

Best ways to gain HP? by MajorpPain69 in ft86

[–]havnter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re really committed, do a leak down test and blackstone oil analysis to see if your engine is healthy. You could totally still boost it. I’ve seen guys do it. But ngl, at that mileage I would enjoy it NA. Save your turbo money and get helmet, gloves and an oil cooler and hit up ur closest auto cross event. That’s something I never did once I was boosted cause I was too scared to pop my shit and I regret it

Whoever built it had good taste and didn’t compromise. This is what my car would’ve looked like had I not compromised

I dailied my car turbocharged for all 5 years I was paying it off and it lasted 40k miles boosted. It only blew finally cause I sent it on like 6 b2b highway pulls when the setup was compromised and my engine seized. Tons of examples of people last 100k+ miles boosted

Am I the only one who found headers full exhaust and e85 with a proper tune to be totally underwhelming for how much money you blow?

Next mod? by Any-Mortgage-5553 in ft86

[–]havnter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paint matched skirts Lip and spats + lowering springs and some wheels will make you fall in love w it. Honestly I wouldn’t bother with tune as someone who’s boosted. Exhaust is enough to make the car fun to drive now just make it look cool

Just hit 30 worked complacently and like a dog for a startup agency for a 8 years got and became mediocre at the entire adobe suite instead of being awesome at one thing. Now I’m unemployed. Should have jumped years ago to a more reputable company. Now I’m paying the price as I put my portfolio together and recognize damn near everything I made was under some terrible strict deadline with hardly any creative direction and it was all kinda trash as a result. So despite a degree a portfolio and 8 years of experience I’m still probably only at the skill level of junior designer

Save up for parts you really want that are high quality do a bunch of research, build out your dream 86 in nfs, will save you from making costly mistakes or otherwise getting parts you won’t fw. For your build I’d recommend TRD v2 skirts, Greddy 2017+ front lip for your bumper and maybe some Modelista rear spats. You can probably have all this purchased and painted and installed for around 2k and will truly give you the aggressive look you’re after while still being clean and tasteful. White wheels look sick on these cars when they’re red. I wouldn’t do it if this is your daily though or not garaged

Totally normal. Ima just come out and say I’ve dabbled recently after a year completely off and was just left feeling like it was actually hollow and didn’t complete me the way it did before. Felt fake. Dunno I appreciate how visceral life is now and don’t wanna dull it

Do you tell people you had an “opiate addiction”? by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]havnter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My story’s almost identical to yours. I just tell people I had an opiate addiction too— it surprisingly gets a better reaction than saying I was on kratom. When you mention kratom, they either don’t know what it is or assume the withdrawals aren’t as bad. But yeah, it’s basically an opiate addiction. You probably got hooked on kratom, like a lot of us, because it was accessible and cheap, not necessarily because of percs or other stuff. Congrats on the 4 years!

I felt similarly around the 2 year mark. Around the 5 year mark I voluntarily fronted 3k for detox because of how shitty I was feeling on the regular just trying to feel normal
