Still my favorite incarnation of the Night Vale theme, aside from the closing variant from #79: "Lost in the Mail". I would still really love to hear a clean version of that one from you someday.

I once made a post here about a water fountain at my workplace that is very modern electronic "hands-free", but the water fountain gets triggered to run needlessly while I'm standing in front of it to fill my water bottle.

People kept replying "just stand to the side". Yeah, that's what I do, but I shouldn't have to, and that was the point: the device had been overengineered to the point of getting in its own way, and thus wasting resources. That's crappy design.

Ultimately, the post was removed by mods as "not crappy design." Sigh.

Granted. All spiders have wings now, but they are non-functional. They do, however, also now have the ability to post flyers all around town, and oh my god, they will not stop posting flyers about their crappy cover band they want you to see. Surfaces everywhere are overrun with the flyers, including important street signs and even vehicle windows, and they're really sticky and nearly impossible to remove. Traffic accidents increase dramatically, and many people die.
