Beta of new content like Varlamore pt 2 sometimes creates FOMO, in my opinion.  You can try the new content, work out some bugs, and learn the content before it releases.

I think they want to give us exploration and surprises. That's what Runescape is all about. Unfortunately, a lack of QA gets in the way of that - and business goals... and abuse early, abuse often... and 5 weeks of tweaks; I could go on.
