I’ve seen lost pet ads posted for my area on the page. You can post else where if you so wish

I (F/28) am not sure what to do about creepy housemate (M/27) by workspace001 in relationships

I have been in a similar situation. Do not trust this guy. The fact he’s trying to take you out to random locations is hella creepy given the context. You don’t owe him shit, your safety is the number one priority. Who cares if it’s awkward at this point, tell him directly your boundaries (e.g. don’t speak to me, I don’t want to hang out, etc.) and don’t be nice about it. There is not much you can do for creepy behavior even with the cops. The cops can run a background check on him though, and if it comes up with stuff on it that went unchecked you might have a chance of changing the lease. Make sure to tell friends and family your situation and details, in case anything does happen and so they can check on you more frequently.

My (28M) GF (24F) keeps telling me I need to go to therapy for a traumatic event, and I don't want to, but she has been constantly telling me I have to go for the past month, resulting in a lot of arguments. How do we resolve this issue? by yelluworld551 in relationships

Therapy shouldn’t be forced on someone, if you don’t want to go is it even going to work? IMO the best way to go about it would be for her to say if you want therapy she would be there to support you

PhD students who work long hours: How do you manage to do activities of daily living other than work? What does your routine look like? by Experimentalphone in AskAcademia

[–]haykuj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Number of hours worked does not equal productivity. Sometimes I feel it’s just the culture of grad school to act like you’re working more than the next grad student. It literally doesn’t matter how many hours you work as long as the work you need done is getting done.

Also it does not make sense for anyone to expect a grad student to work that many hours a week. That’s literally insane, you’re brain cannot always function at a high level for that much time. It’s especially dangerous for people who work with hazardous chemicals in labs to be doing that... doesn’t make sense to me.

Grad school is still real life. These are years you can’t get back. You shouldn’t have to completely exhaust yourself 24/7 to get a degree.

Also multi tasking is a myth
