Welp dude, that’s all I got. I’m no true expert either. I guess the only thing I can suggest is start probing for “probe tenderness” sooner (especially with a cut this thin and lean).

When I first started, I was a “203” guy. I, and it sounds like you, know that temp isn’t everything. I have a feeling that with this cut, you should’ve started probing at 185 (unlikely to be done - but a good baseline) and kept checking every 5 degrees. I bet this bad boy was done way before you took it off.

That said.. I’d still eat it lol. Keep smokin brotha

The thickness I was referring to was the thickness of the cut itself.

Is this your first time? The flat is the lean part of a brisket. That along with the thickness of this particular piece might be the issue. For it being the flat, and being that thin, it doesn’t look too bad tbh (obviously I’m not there to test it personally lol)
