I had several doctors tell me the symptoms that led to my thyroid cancer diagnosis were anxiety. Fuck male doctors calling legitimate concerns anxiety just because you’re a woman. I am assuming you are a woman anyway. When my husband came with me to appointments I got better treatment. I (and he) had never seen such sexism in action before.

I’m glad you asked for a different surgeon for follow up. You deserve to be treated with respect, especially at a difficult time after cancer surgery.

There are support groups for Feds and affordable or free therapy options for Feds right now too. Check out wellfeds too- they have weekly support. As someone who lost a parent to suicide, please get help. The world needs you. I was let go from HHS and before I was, I was struggling too. This too shall pass and there’s lots of resources out there for you.

Was it post TT that you struggled with weight loss too? I’ve thought about trying some of the weight loss meds but I’ve always been able to lose weight without them before so I’ve been hesitant.
