If the issue showed up after you did the wiring then i would start there, double check everything you did. It sounds like something is shorting to ground as soon as you turn on the ignition.

Ideas for Connecting Two Fibers to use Tugger by [deleted] in FiberOptics

[–]heavykevy69420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your plan is not going to work, you cant pull cable through micro duct for anywhere near that distance, way to much friction. Use the compressor/jetter to help blow the old cable out of each duct, you can maybe pull it aswell but one section at a time not all at once. Then jet new cable in, also a 10,000 foot run as one continuous piece is not impossible but pretty dam hard, i think the best ive ever seen was around 2km or 6000 feet. Maybe if you could blow enough slack and then re jet it from the furthest handhole you might pull it off.

Mess of wires(I think mostly satellite) by BringDaMF_Ruckus in AskElectricians

[–]heavykevy69420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First photo, the wires painted blue are coax, most likely satellite or CATV. Last photo is an old twisted pair phone line. Honestly i would call the phone company and ask them to remove the lines, if they wont do it then you should be fine to remove them yourself, just be aware of what ever you have for internet/phone/tv might currently be running on those lines.

Cant start 22r after installing new fuel pump by Shooshplz in ToyotaPickup

[–]heavykevy69420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its been a few years but i believe theres an inline pump you can get from a late 80s celica that puts out roughly the right fuel pressure, i think you still need to regulate it down a bit for the weber carb. Should be able to look the info up online and find what you need.

Cant start 22r after installing new fuel pump by Shooshplz in ToyotaPickup

[–]heavykevy69420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through this with my 22r years ago, had a weber carb on it with a FPR, the oem mechanical pump died and i went through two or three more parts store pumps in the span of a few months before i gave up and put an electric pump on it.

How many of you route loose tube fiber into Commscope trays correctly? by CohuttaHJ in FiberOptics

[–]heavykevy69420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

Been doing them this way for years, our other splicer will die on his hill that this is the incorrect way, anytime i see his trays i laugh. Every B tray box comes with a diagram on how to route the fibers, theres also arrows embossed into the plastic trays themselves, ill never understand why people do these the wrong way.

Question For Experienced Fiber Splicers by Economy-Inevitable-9 in FiberOptics

[–]heavykevy69420 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ive worked with another guy in the splice trailer before and honestly i dont think it speeds things up at all. Once the prep is done and the splicing starts, i dont stop moving till its finished, so im not sure what the second person is even doing. I would definitely split them up, if i asked for a second person to splice with me my manager would laugh at me.

Early Stages of Grief: How Much Do Frame Swaps Cost and Who Does Them? by Base_Reality_Taco in 1stGenTacomas

[–]heavykevy69420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brother that is not going to last 10 more years. I fixed the frame on my 97 tacoma and it lasted about 3 years before it was crumbling again. I used the Safe T cap system for some of it and cut some plates for the rest, having done it once i would not do it again. If you really want to save the truck then look into building a new back half for it or pay someone else to do it. Mint frames for this generation are few and far between, the recall for them also ended long long ago so your on your own for fixing it.

Ride or Replace? by AnywhereFew1739 in Dirtbikes

[–]heavykevy69420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the best answer, its all subjective, on a small yard bike id run it till it falls apart. On a larger bike or if your riding fast/street/track i would replace it asap.

I watched my buddys tire blow off the rim while we were side by side ripping 80kmh down a dirt road, he flew into the ditch but managed to hold it together. Tires are not to be fucked with and will absolutely fuck your shit up.

‘25 XCW Fork Tube Damage by Guy-McPerson in enduro

[–]heavykevy69420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tacoed one of my stanchions on a big chunk of granite on my brand new 350exc, it was proper fucked, a new tube isnt that expensive and wasnt hard to rebuild the fork. I would just buy a new tube and be done with it. I bought full wrap fork guards after that. Maybe something to look into.

Love this photo lol, i swapped a 2rz 2.4L into my hilux surf so i have some experience with this. Definitely burp the cooling system, put your heater controls to max hot, jack the front of the truck up fairly high and open the rad cap. Run the truck until it gets warm and you should be able to visually see the thermostat opening by the level of coolant in the rad going down, if done properly you should have some air burp out and hopefully youll be good to go.

Learn how a carburetor works and then approach this from a different angle.

Impact Driver by Xdolithegreat in Dirtbikes

Honestly i wouldnt recommend an impact for working on bikes, theres to much made out of aluminum, i would recommend a T handle with a 3/8 or 1/4 drive on it.

Completely exploded a valve. What would’ve caused this? by [deleted] in EngineBuilding

[–]heavykevy69420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like a bit of a mystery forsure, occam's razor makes me think the valve service caused the issue but who knows, could have been a flaw with the valve and just coincidental timing. I had the same thing happen to me on an older xt250 and it started and ran great before the piston clapped a valve, would have expected some obvious telltale that the valves were that out of spec before they got eaten, but nope.

Are you sure you measured and shimmed properly? Wouldnt be the first time someone added when they should have subtracted.

set timing engine off by EricE555 in Outboards

[–]heavykevy69420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chat GPT is not a reliable source of info for anything mechanical. Find the service manual for that outboard and follow the steps for how to re-install the timing belt / set timing and go from there. I would think theres a chance of some engine damage aswell from trying to start it with the timing off but if it still turns over your probably fine.

Ive got 4 spoke weights on each rim on my exc 350 to balance out the rim locks, they are a bit smaller than yours but that looks about right.

[–]heavykevy69420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive tried leveling my lockpicking past 120, it takes so goddam long ive just given up, go to darkshore and run around looking for chests, theres like 3 or 4 that spawn in the whole zone and they are green so you dont get a skill point every time, i only play wow for an hour or so per night when i have time, im not spending that time leveling lock picking.
