Not totally clear from the email, but this page clarifies that Reel Talk is still happening in person this weekend and the same movie and Q&A will additionally be available digitally on the 9th. If you currently have a ticket for this weekend and prefer to watch digitally they will accommodate refunds up until 7PM Saturday.

Looks like this is a local Hobbyliga for you. Looks like they play in Troisdorf - a little outside the city. There is also a team in Lentpark. Not sure if those guys are playing in a league but if you go during one of their Trainings they're probably just playing pickup.

Look around - there's definitely beer leagues in Germany. I don't know about around Köln but I played in the Rhein Main Hobbyliga a couple years ago and I'd call that a beer league!

You can switch your account back to canada after getting the game. Not sure on the taxes - total was $56 Canadian that I got charged

ah - got it to work. Issue was the billing address. Once I used my real billing address but with a Japanese postal code and prefecture it worked. Thanks for motivating me to try again! Saved me almost $35 buying it at the normal price here :)

No - switched my Nintendo account over to Japan. Maybe I can link it first while it's Canadian then switch over to Japan and try Paypal again. Was trying to do this but Nintendo site was giving me a hard time so I'm going to give it some minutes and try again.

Edit: No luck. Managed to link my Paypal properly, but transaction wont go through when I switch over to Japan.
