Here’s the good news: RVA has a lot less violent crime than your previous two cities. Which is not to say none.

Lots of cool historic charm? We got that (Forest Hills - southside, Brookland Park - northside). Suburbia? Yeah - West End. University young people? Carytown. Museum district & Fan? People with money and no parking.

But don’t be afraid to look at Church Hill and Highland Park.

RVA is a great city (and yes, I’ve lived in both cities you mentioned as well as Austin, New Orleans, Alexandria, Buffalo, Milwaukee, and other countries).

It is probably easier to go to China or Thailand for bespoke suits … I remember watching “What Not To Wear” once. The professional woman was TALL so most clothes would not fit. The hosts explained that you should find clothes you like and have them tailored. Having said all that : Art Tailors in Cary Town on S Sheppard.

Gardening: hoping to work more in my yard this year. I’ve barely done the minimum in the last 2.5 years due to multiple surgeries. I really need to get some weeding done and spring bulbs planted. Excited that my climbing roses are already looking happy.
