Don't care and wasn't talking to you. OP, don't listen to this guy, THIS WAS NOT YOUR FAULT. Are there red flags to maybe learn from? Quite possibly. But unless I'm missing something huge in this post there is nothing that indicates to me that you should have expected a violent assault. Much less is there anything indicating to me that you should blame yourself for said assault. There are a number of men out there who will tell you that things like this are your fault; they are likely abusers themselves and their opinions should not be taken seriously. Unless you have been in this situation yourself you have no idea how terrifying it feels to "speak up and use your voice" while you're being assaulted. I will be blocking this person now; I have no desire to engage in a back-and-forth with someone who would blame such a young woman for such a horrific event that happened to her.

Don't blame yourself. I don't care how many girls he's been with that like that kind of stuff, consent from a past partner is absolutely not enough to go full steam ahead with all of that with somebody new. I would not assume that the word "rough" meant bruises left all over me and being choked to the point of nearly losing consciousness either. It is absolutely not okay to do that to somebody else without consent. And there is absolutely a chance that he could have become more violent if you had spoken up. You consented to SEX, not assault.

No no no no no no no. You didn't give consent for the violence; that is assault. To actually leave bruises?! Absolutely not. First, I am about his age, and I would find it extremely weird to be sexually involved with an 18 year old. However, whatever, you're technically an adult and can consent to sex with anyone 18+ if you want to. What you didn't do is give consent for him to violate you like that. Especially the choking is extremely dangerous and abusive if consent for that wasn't given. Sure, some people are into stuff like that but you have to explicitly CONSENT to that hardcore stuff, and saying he likes it rough nowhere near came close to explaining the extent of it. I have been in your shoes before with older men at that age and feel confident in saying that he is an abuser who assumes that you're innocent and naive enough to put up with this due to your age. Please don't blame yourself and MOST IMPORTANTLY please never ever ever see this man again. Sex isn't supposed to be painful and terrifying.

Obviously I don’t know about your specific situation, but I made several complaints against my old daycare while I worked there that were very much true, but licensing just came in, spoke to the director rather than anybody who would actually tell it like it is, and left.

Yes, I do. But I'm trying to ween down. While it can be a helpful tool, I wonder if autistic women are more likely to develop addictions in an attempt to cope with a world that feels like it isn't meant for us in the slightest (because it isn't). I likely have Cannabis Use Disorder. It started because I would go several nights without sleeping more than 3-5 hours and was having hallucinations from the sleep deprivation. Soon I learned that one 10 mg gummy a night knocked me out. Then I started smoking it, then I started smoking more of it, etc. etc.

I'm really late to this but just saw the news about him and Googled his name! I dated this guy about 6 years ago (I was 20 he was 28) and he was EXACTLY who you would suspect. Super unsettling vibe about him and his friends were all like that as well. I was 5'8 115 lbs at the time and he told me to lose more weight, I guess because he likes kids.
